Triake moved to the side couching the back of Loki in his arm to catch the first attack, he shifted slightly, but it was an improvement to before. The kick he didn't see coming though, it hit him hard making him freeze for an instant, the blade came around before Kaori's hand stopped in the air. Loki materialised at Triake's side holding her hand in a vice grip, her visage cold. "Now Fenris!" Fenrir spun from behind and whipped her sword at Kaori's heels as her fot came down from the kick, releasing a little wind to make sure she did the job of severing the girl's achilles tendons. Triake moved for the mask, but Loki moved with her blade. Triake moved his hand to intercept the attack but he was too late. Loki had just plunged her blade into Kaori's throat.... or that's what should have happened. Her blade shattered against the girl's skin like glass. Triake felt a wrenching pain inside him as he felt the blowback from the sword breaking... He stared at Loki unsure of what to say as she pushed him away from his masked fiancee. "You can't go easy on her, you need to use your bankai!" Triake stared on as Fenrir tried to cut Kaori as well, her slash was once again aimed at the girl's legs, this time her thighs. Fen could have easily cut Kaori in other places to immobilise her but she didn't, in fact, even in a weaker form than normal, Fenrir was going easy on her. Why? What had Loki been trying to show him?

Yes, *Unohana turns her gaze inside. She had left the room because there was nothing she could do just yet, only Triake could resolve the situation now. and if Jinta had done what she said, he would have a new reason to fight the mask and so would Kaori.* Its a battle that will test the hearts of many... but that is not why you are here is it, Lenz?

A door slid open as wooden sandals made noise upon the wooden floor of the shop. Urahara, lacking his trademark hat, moved closer while appearing to be walking in no particular direction. "Ararara, we have a customer who is friendly with one of our guests?" He said with a carefree grin, his hand resting on his cane. "Care to take a seat, customer? Unohana?" He pushed forward a chair to the captain, offering her a way out of the embrace she was in if she wanted it. The former captain was unsure of the relationship between the two but such a small gesture would reveal much about them "Did you come up for air... or was the tension too much for you?" Urahara waved his hand producing a fan, waving it at himself even on such a cold and tempermental night.

(bye *hugs back*) He is a friend Urahara-san, the very one who I saved outside your shop not too long ago. *She thinks of the arrancar like a son. Nothing little more than that, she cared deeply for all life, even if they were the lives of her enemies and sometimes she forgot of that. She thought tea would be nice, and to get out of the rain. Her clothes were soaked and it would do her no good to get sick. She started to go inside assuming Lenz would follow or not.* Tea please, and if you were referring to inside there then yes, it was a bit much for me. *She wanted to change out of her wet clothes as soon as possible, her distress showed on her face.*

Kaori hadn't forgotten about the two zanpaktou, she had been keeping track of them intently. Yet as her foot came down from the kick, in the corner of her eye an unexpected flash of a sword caught her attention. It came in contact with the back of both her heels with nearly no time to react. She grimaced, faltered backwards and nearly fell over. There was nearly no time to recover for just as quickly, Loki had her sword poised to strike at her throat. Not intending to give up, Kaori swung her blade up in an attempt to block the attack. However the woman was quicker and instantly the sword plunged for her throat. Kaori was ready to cry out, knowing it was too late to move out of the way or even stop such momentum. But the pain never came. She opened her eyes to see nothing but the handle of the now broken sword. Was this an illusion like Loki had tried on her before? No, this seemed real. However, she couldn't tell what had done such a thing. Surely, it must have been the mask, it had saved her. She smiled slightly. She turned to Fenrir as she attacked once again. Kaori blocked the slash at her legs, wincing as her heels protested to the movement. If she could walk on a broken leg, she could definitely endure this. Kaori gripped her sword and swung at the zanpaktou, aiming at her right side. Just as she was about to return to Triake, Kaori heard the unfamiliar voice of a young boy. Her head snapped to his location and instantly her anger bloomed. Unohana said that she would lose the baby? What nonsense was that?! If anything, the mask would give her the power she needed to protect it! Realizing that Triake most likely did not know of her pregnancy yet, she stopped herself from attacking him and stood watching, wondering how he would react to the new knowledge.

Fenrir blocked the attack but was sent flying into a rock formation in the distance. Loki was right, he needed to use his bankai. Just as he turned his sword to make the necessary movement, he heard Jinta's voice saying something unbelieveable. Triake almost dropped his sword. Baby? She... is carrying our baby? Triake suddenly had the urge to run to her and rip the mask off... If he had known he would have never pushed her to put it on, the baby that defended itself with its mother's reiatsu would now be drained by the mask... How long had they been fighting? How much time did he have left? Triake walked forward, summoning Fenrir to hand. Anger, rage coursed through him... She kept it from him and now their baby was in danger. "You coward..." He said as he moved closer. "You pathetic coward!" He screamed as let his motion exploded as he aimed a slash with Loki at her neck, the only place he knew he couldn't harm because of her special protection. Triake's motion seemed rage filled, in his haste to cut at her again, he left himself open to a simple thrust to his abdomen. Only slightly hidden, it would make for an appetising target... he only hope she oblidged him. -- Urahara -- Urahara nodded as she asked for tea and explained why she had left. He put an arm around her shoulder, for comfort and warmth. "Did you notice what Triake was like before? He would smile at us, laugh but it always seemed as if he was missing something. When he woke from his sleep to find Kaori next to him that time so long ago... I had never seen him smile like he did at her... So filled with happiness." He shook his head as he lead her into another lounge room, tea was already prepared for them, Yoruichi was sitting with her hands clenched in fists, clearly uncomfortable. "I don't want anything to happen to either of them, Triake is my loyal friend... and she brings him joy that I've not seen very often."Urahara put his hand on Yoruichi's head lightly. The woman, shifted it slightly, as if appreciating the touch before she glared at him and looked away. Urahara sighed as he motioned to the closet "There are dry clean clothes for you, Retsu-sama, I'm sure you need something warmer."

Kaori started to have second thoughts the moment she saw the expression upon Triake's face. Was she really putting her child in danger? Even though the mask still had a hold of her, her maternal instincts were still there, and the idea that she was harming the baby made her feel sick. Triake's accusations were all the more stronger now, perhaps she was starting to believe it. She had put herself before the child, without even thinking about the consequences. She let the thought drop as if it didn't matter anymore, Triake left her nearly no time to react as the sword went for her neck once again. She trusted that whatever protected her before would do it once again and did nothing but stand there. Just as before, she came out unharmed, but it was not the end, Triake was enraged, already moving to attack her again. But she saw her chance. He had left himself open and she decided to go for it before he managed to cut her. She didn't take the time to think about it, perhaps it was all the extra reiatsu telling her what to do instead of letting her decide for herself. Quickly, Kaori slipped closer and lunged forward with her sword thrusted outwards. She wanted to say something, but no words came to her.

As Loki's blade smashed, it gave him the internal pause to make everything seem real, her sword snaked inwards. Of the options he had, he didn't move, instead letting the sword strike him and slide through his stomach. The wound almost made him stagger backwards but he persisted, grabbing onto her hand and pulling the sword further into himself. He coughed up blood as more of the crimson liquid poured on to her hand as he impaled himself more upon her sword, his rageful strength not letting her pull back even is she tried. "To the last... if I can save our baby and you from that mask... I don't care if this is the last time I'll see you... I love you, Koka... I didn't mean a word I said before." After his heartfelt confession, his eyes glowed white and the ground began to tremble, the temperature in the room dropped several degrees below freezing as Loki and Fenrir vanished to lend him their reiatsu. The blace froze in his stomach asn the blod cased around their hands, stronger than any chains. Blood trailed down his cheeks from the corner of his mouth as he wound up and slashed at her head, aiming for the mask. He put all of his strength into the blow, emitting wind power, all he could muster, into an area the size of a pin. He wanted the pressure to cause shake her head a little. Lower her defence for what he had to do next... He grabbed at the tear in the mask he had made and tried to tear it off. with his free hand, more blood leaking from his wound, making him weaker than he wanted to be, his reiatsu bleeding from him like his strength as he desperately tried to remove it.

(Oh yeah, it's like a dimension to itself, looks a lot smaller than it is ^^) Urahara looked back at her as Yoruichi stalked out quickly, avoiding the stranger's touch as if not wanting to be touched by anyone as the fluxes in power occured in the other room. The woman seemed more on edge than usually and the shopkeeper seemed to know why, yet he made no mention of it. "Retsu-sama, I have prepared a room for you and you a free to say... but when you speak of them finding you, I'm a bit confused. Perhaps you should look in the mirror..." When the woman did, she would see a different visage... one that made her look to be a young, pretty sister of Yoruichi. "I doubt anyone would recognise you.

*She looked in the mirror and her eyes went wide. She would have given Urahara a calmer answer, but the hormones of her pregnancy were more the reason of her reaction rather than being used to seeing the same reflection for so many centuries.* Ahhhhhh!!!!!! What have you done!?! *She grabbed her hair with her hand which had a slightly olive complection, she still seemed to have the same face though her eyes were different aswell. She wanted to strangle Urahara at that moment, but managed to restrain herself from that.*

Urahara shook his head. "Not my place to say what Yoruichi is feeling if she doesn't wish to say herself..." He smiled, chuckling a little as Unohana screamed. "I guess all the women in the Shihouin clan are exciteable..." He waved the fan infront of himself, slightly apprehensive that the women would be angered by his words. "You don't like your disguise? It's a slightly different model of gigai, it has a look to it that changes depending on the user as it blends you with the model of the gigai into a new person." He paused and decided he should elaborate a bit more. "It makes you look a bit like Yoruichi as she was the only model whose permission I could gain to so accurately sculpt" He winked at Unohana as he chuckled and poured her some tea. "Surely it's not that bad, you look beautiful." He briefly wondered if he would escape the conversation with his hide intact.

*But it wasn't her, which she suposed is a good thing if she wanted to remain hidden, she would have to learn to live with it. She gave him a final look before going to change. She wondered now what her children would look like, though she would not ask, she wanted it to remain a mystery until the time comes. She walked back in with what looks to be a comfortable maternity dress.* Then how long am I to stay--- ?? *She turns her gaze to the back door.* what is going on?

Urahara gave her a serious look, "Would it be a problem if you looked like that from now on?" This was not to be, it was a gigai and Unohana's soul was the same, nearly nothing could change that. Urahara hadn't tested it, but he suspected if she wore the gigai for a long time, spanning years that her appearance might change slightly, but it would be almost unnoticeable. He followed her gaze as the weather outside seemed to take a turn for the worse. "I think the fight is over..." He took note of Triake's rapidly declining Reiryoku. "for better or for worse."

Kaori watched numbly as the sword slid easily into his stomach. But just as easily, she realized what she just did. Suddenly, things seemed so surreal, even if still under the influence of the mask she wore. This could not be real, it had to be fake, she could not have just given a deadly blow to her fiancée. Trying to deny it was useless, Triake had grabbed her hand in her shock and was now pulling himself into the sword. Kaori was frozen, shaking her head in denial as a small part of her fought to regain control. She was horrified as he spoke, suddenly finding the strength to try to pull the sword out with both hands which were now soaked with his blood. To her surprise, he held on to it. "No! Let go! I don't want you to.." Kaori trailed off as the temperature dropped. Almost instantly her hands were frozen onto the sword which was still locked into him. She desperately tried to pull away, seeing him use his free hand to aim for her head. No, not the head, the mask. Whatever influence it still had on her, it make her panic . The sword hit hard, she could feel the mask crack a little through her disorientation. This must have been the closest she had ever been to seeing stars. She could barely focus before a hand was at her face. Kaori's eyes widened and she screamed as the mask was forcibly pulled off of her. The pain was worse than when she put it on, almost as if the reiatsu snaked its way inside her like physical roots. As the roots uplifted, they tried to take her own reiatsu with it. which felt just as painful as organs being torn out. Just when she thought it was never going to end, the pain suddenly stopped. She blinked a couple of times before she saw that Triake held the mask in his hand. She didn't care anymore, the thing nearly made a killing machine out of her. Perhaps it still did, Kaori tried once again with the rest of her strength to pull her zanpaktou from him. She could sense a different feeling in Kourizimaru. Something was definitely wrong with him and the reality of it frightened her, but she couldn't stay conscience long enough to find out what. Kaori collapsed on Triake, sobbing into his torn and bloody uniform. "I'm so sorry..." she managed to choke out before the world faded to black.

Triake saw her return... he saw his lovely Koka turn back to what she was. With the mask clutched in his hand, he knew she was safe for now. He could feel the object in his hand regenerate itself with the reiryoku it had stored. He let his guard and his powers go, unfreezing his stomach just as Kaori pulled. The sword was free of him allowing his wound to bleed out, a stream of blood following the blade. Blood dripped from his chin as he smiled lightly. "Don't be sorry... baka... I'll always..." As she collapsed into him, he fell backwards, no power to hold himself up, no strength to catch her. "Forgive..." his body hit the floor flat as he spoke his last conscious words. "... my love." Urahara felt the change and was immediately on his feet, that dark presence and then nothingness, Kaori's presence was strong but it felt like Triake had left. Urahara could barely feel him at all. "Tessai! Get the medical kit now!" He shouted as he ran from the room, looking briefly to Unohana. "Please..." Urahara hoped beyond hope that Triake hadn't been cut by the blade, Yoruichi had told him about the mask's first and primary weapon, a poison distilled of the thousands on thousands of reiryoku's within... Sure Triake wouldn't have let himself get cut...

Yoruichi looked on with a sad expression as Urahara rushed into the arena with Tessai and Unohana. Triake wasn't moving at all, blood seeping from underneath him, the mask held tightly in his hand, untouched by damage or blood. Kaori rested on top of him, her body lightly covering his. Urahara dashed towards her and checked her back, no wounds. He rolled her over gently, she was bloodied but not enough for all of the red liquid that she was bathed in. Triake was there, a smile on his face while looking at peace. Urahara forced himself to look, he observed Triake's chest for the longest time before he saw it move. Tessai was already there, preparing healing kidou to save the captain's life. Tessai spoke in a hushed tone. "Unohana-san, I will leave the life saving measures upto you, I'm at your command for I have never seen anyone so badly injured." The stocked medical kit had bandages and sowing aids along with other useful items that might help Triake. At the outset though, his breathing so shallow, the loss of blood... it didn't look like he was in a good way.

Yes, you better check on Kaori aswell. *She knealt next to Triake. She used everything at her disposal to save him. (insert implied use of bankai here). She can only hope its enough.* (I am so lazy right now, I dont wanna say all the technical stuff right now, even though I dont really know what to say=o=, you know I have an inkling that she used her bankai to save hitsugaya, hinamori and the girl that got cut in half [forgot name] so is implied.)

Kaori's eyes fluttered open as she regained conscienceness again. Why did her head hurt so much? As she sat up, it took her a moment to remember what had happened only minutes ago. The mask was gone, she hoped to never touch it again. But Triake... Her eyes grew wide with horror and she crawled to him against the protests of her tired body. He was covered in blood, looking worse than when Loki had brought him back before. She could barely see him breathing. She could see someone doing all she could to save him on the other side, someone she did not recognize, but Kaori felt nothing of relief. The person was blurred as her sights were only on one thing. She had done this. She had stabbed him and now he was dying. She shook her head at she stared at him, "No... No... No..." Like a broken record player, she seemed to repeat herself. Perhaps Kaori was breaking, herself. She couldn't feel anything, though, as if her whole body had gone numb. Not even a single tear fell in her state, lime she was in a trance. A terrible, shocked trance that she couldn't escape. Once again she was alerted to the strange feeling in her zanpaktou, it felt almost as if it was weakening, and trying to tell her something. But she couldn't make herself do a thing about it.
