Some anime like Major. Character is young then grows up. Doesn't have to be sports or a series of seasons. I guess the character gets older as it progresses.

The ones that come to mind are Clannad, Dragon Ball, 5cm Per Second, Beck, and Death Note. It seems like your list is set to private, so I can't tell whether you've seen these or not. Enjoy!

Well, there is the time gap between Naruto and Shippuuden where he supposedly grew up ^^

There's also a timegap in Monster in the beginning where, obviously, characters grow up. Dunno what you are looking for though.

And @ Yves: Where in Death Note do characters grow up ?

Well, that element is present in Gurren Lagann. The main character is a little shrimp but during the run of the series, there's a time skip and you'll see the same character older.

Your list is private, so I can't really be sure if you've watched this.

Hikaru no Go. The characters literally grow before your eyes. And it's gradual, so you don't notice it at first as it is subtle but when you do notice it, it hits you hard. The main character starts off as a 12 year old boy and the anime ends when he is about 18.

Gungrave. Follows the protagonists from early teenage years until they are close to old men :)

Clannad
Itazura na Kiss
Hanasakeru Seishounen(though she doesn't age too much)
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien
Captain Tsubasa(this is the closest one to Major because it's about sports as well)
Hikaru no Go
Tegami Bachi(in the 1st ep he is 8 or so and in the second he is already 12 or so)
Pandora Hearts(not the main character but his servant and family-because he missed for like 10 years)
Asatte no Hokou(hard to say the characters actually grew up but...well just check it out)

Your list is private so its not my fault if you've seen it, but the protagonists of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood do grow up as the series progresses...

Thanks for the suggestions. Something was up with the server yesterday because I set it to not private. Also, I got two of the same threads topics.

well as I mentioned in your other thread:

The following 2 is a reverse of what your looking for, where at first you see their future selves and, and then it goes back to when they were younger:

Berserk
GunGrave

..in regards to what your asking though, the only one I can think of where you see them at the start of the anme at a young age, to an older them by the end of the anime is Towards the Terra

P.S just some advice for future reference, if you' d like people to recommend you anime or manga, I'd suggest you not have your list locked or else we won't know what you've already seen/read when we try access it....

I think others are interested in these types of anime, so recommend it even though it's on my list.

Gunbuster/Diebuster OVAs.

Might not fit into your criteria, but both endings made me cry and they involved time and aging and stuff.
