| “When should one be moderate?” Probably if you’re a moderator for a platform, or if you’re someone who just wants to keep things peaceful (I am also aware that being moderate doesn't always lead to peace though lol). Is being moderate when it comes to beliefs something that one should try to be though? Hmm, well, it probably isn’t a “should” per se. It kind of depends on what kind of situations we’re talking about. There are many issues/topics in life where there are only two options to choose from, and taking the moderate stance is still essentially just choosing one of the two options in action. I’d say it’s still ideal to be open-minded in hearing out different ideas, scrutinizing and contemplating different beliefs, being honest with one’s beliefs, and making sure the information you get is actually legit. getah_karet said: accept means believe or come to recognize (an opinion, explanation, etc) as valid or correct There are actually many people who accept the way that certain things are, even though they disagree with the ideas associated with those realities/occurrences. |
