Warning for those who love non-human races in fantasy

If you’re someone who likes non-human races in fantasy, such as elves, centaurs, beastmen,... then you’d better stop watching this anime right now, because the author portrays every non-human race as evil, and in the end, they all get brutally slaughtered by the main character and his harem girls. This will more or less make you feel uncomfortable while watching the anime.

If the author had made the MC’s gacha lineup diverse, with multiple races and a balanced mix of male and female characters, it would’ve been so much better. But no, instead he only gave him a bunch of fanservice human girls. That just proves this author’s biased against non-human races, only worships humans, and of course, fills the MC’s gacha with mostly girls.

I like elves and all that but they weren't made in the image of God so this is probably permissible. I'll need to ask my priest though.

@Apratim Honestly, those so-called revenge scenes are downright cringe. While I was reading the manga, I also checked out other viewers’ reviews, most of them felt the same way and thought the MC came off as pathetic.

Ohh I see. One of the best revenge manga I have read is "the hero who seeks revenge" he is just downright brutal and savage in every arc lol. Haven't seen any revenge manga quite like it which doesn't get tonned down or MC becomes nerfed af

I don't know how far you've gotten into the story, but i have to believe you didn't get too far into it, because it's not quite that simple, while these are minor spoilers overall, i'll still put them behind spoiler tags.

First off, i have seen so far, 5 of the races if i remember right, the elves, dark elves, beastmen, dwarves and oni with any kind of ability to judge them, of these 5 here is the bias breakdown:

2 of them are 100% racial supremacist and needed the mc to essentially puppet state them to prevent having to genocide them to the last (elves, dark elves).

The beastmen are essentially divided on humanity between ultra surpremacist (wolf tribe especially) for half of them, to superiority complex but overall neutral on humanity, this is why when the mc deals with the beastmen problem he leaves 3 of the council members alive to lead the tribes and kills the inciters remaining on the council, essentially warning them that he spared them because they sued for peace unlike the otherd, next time do a better job of controlling your bad elements (wolf tribe with the ok of some of the council, tried to lead a army to genocide some humans under the mc's care without full approval of the other members, which were in the dark mostly about it).

The oni are heavily divided on humanity, namely on caste based lines, most but not all nobility think of humanity as inferior, while the commoner equivalent class treats them cordially, not really any different than another race outside of maybe odd looks (oni's are essentially japan in the 1600's, aka alot of them rarely see humans), at least up to the current point of the manga (though the nobles of the oni are in some ways worse than even the elves in how monstrous they can be, though so far the dark elves are probably the worst).

The dwarves are for the most part neutral to friendly on humanity, only really interested in inventing and smithing, and side with the mc almost immediately without a shot fired unlike the ones above, though in a kind of secret fashion as direct alliance would invoke the dragonoid and demon races to attack both the dwarves and humans immediately, they even willingly let him do whatever he wants to his revenge target as he's become a neusance to them too.

Anyway my point is it's not that simple.

I don't mind if that is the story going to be. With a revenge plot you expect some type of aggression from the MC whether it's killing, humiliation or some type of torture in these shows. For me it loses a lot of what it supposed to be when the MC gains a harem and a lot they do is telling him how cool he is and other stuff like that. It turns from a revenge story to a edgy fan club.

If you like your revenge extreme, where the targets are denied even the release of death, and if you like your villains excessively evil, deserving zero mercy, then you'll probably enjoy this one. Honestly, it's refreshing to see someone get revenge properly. Why kill the people who hurt you? If they're dead, they can't suffer anymore. Make their entire existence despair and hell, unable to even go insane to escape it.
