| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- You made the national team. The problem? Daimon is the coach... 🙄 He is the absolute worst. He behaves like an abusive father to You and Nami. Luckily, Daimon subs You in and she wins. And no, not because Daimon is nice. Mostly because he didn't think that You would make a difference. He wanted to punish her. I will say that Attacker You is much better about portraying the abusive coach. Attack No 1 kind of glorified them. Even I drank the koolaid, ngl. Though this anime makes me hate the abusive coach. Maybe it's because the coaches in Attack No 1 gave tough love. Yes, they were too much at times, but it genuinely seemed like they wanted to help the players. Daimon seems like he wants to help himself. See how abusive he turns when You doesn't do what he wants, which is to join his team? |
