Araxá, right?! Then why is it that at the end of the 11th episode, the focus is zooming out from around the Amazon basin. Didn't they built the fortress in Araxá, which lies about 2000 km to the southeast from what we're shown. Am I missing something here?

The topography of the region fits Amazon basin (flat and many rivers) far better than Minas Gerais (hilly and less rivers)

The focus is more on Manaus than Araxá

Even the anime image shows Araxá's surroundings as deforested whereas Suika is in a lush region with lots of bodies of water.

Friendly reminder that the everyone was petrified for 3700 years in the first season and they established that nature took over all human made areas (and presumably deforested areas)
They also established that there were geographic shifts so some lands are shifted slightly

@Subi97 Yes, there'd be slight geographic shifts in Japan, a country that is tectonically very active, but Brazil is very stable in that regard. As hard as it is to believe so much changed in the course of 3700 years, which would be insignificant on the geological scale, let's assume it did. The main issue I was curious about is why the zoom-out was on the Amazon rainforest region. It's irrelevant for where she and the petrified bodies in the fortress are situated, Araxá. Notice how in the middle image Araxá isn't even in the frame.

@Yeshaiah2015yesh Of course. It's about 500 km from Araxá to the coastline. That makes 1000 km to-and-fro and she did the trip a few times just to collect guano. An 11-12 year old all alone through rainforests abundant in all kinds of creatures that want to devour her. Hats off to her.

I guess it's not about her position because we don't see her going near any big river as that properly so I guess just a reference to show that they are in South America.

@Digitechz Yeah, that must be it. Amazon makes up about 40% of the South America. No wonder why it'd be strongly, maybe even exclusively, associated with the continent by the average viewer.

@Digitechz Even the youngest and most vulnerable member of the Science Kingdom is so capable and reliable. There was no way Xeno could win the war. Also proof that each core member of the Science Kingdom is more determined to make the humanity flourish than Why-man is determined to petrify it.

@Digitechz Now, that makes me even more impatient for the Why-man arc.

@Aniboysw Unfortunately, I don't know. I think there's only about 1 season's worth of material left in the manga and a new season of Dr. Stone tends to come out after 1-2 years, so I'd guess 2026 Q4 or early 2027.
