Ineffa beta v3 is out, and she seems more or less done, considering very little about her was changed from v0. Ineffa TL;DR: She's a sub-DPS that converts Electro-Charged to a new reaction called Lunar-Charged. This reaction, unlike EC, scales with EM and crit of every Hydro/Electro character in the team combined, assuming they contributed to the reaction. Damage-wise, she's closer to Escargot than Chiori and Emillie, while also providing a shield. Unlike Nescafe, however, she doesn't buff, she just does damage. And yes, Ineffa is yet another Neuv buff. As well as a Varesa/Clorinde/Raiden buff. Except for Varesa and Neuv, Ineffa is likely to outdamage your Hydro/Electro carry at the same con level. To put a number to the claim, Clorinde/Ineffa/Yelan/Kazuha is a 20~25% increase over Clorinde/Chevy/Fischl/Thoma. My opinion: Every once in a while, Genshin releases a character that truly excites me and revitalizes me interest in the meta. The last 2 characters that managed to do this were Chevy and Coffee. Skirk was the opposite of that, despite how powerful she is. Ineffa, however, is a weird case because she should excite me greatly, on paper. A new reaction and a straight-up buff to so many Hydro and Electro characters and all, but... she's ends being kinda boring. Her exciting mechanics end up just being a damage buff. She ends up being a midway between Chevy and Skirk, in terms of excitement for me. There's also the elephant in the room. The main mechanic of Nod-Krai, like Natlan's Nightsoul, will be the Lunar reactions. If the Nod-Krai are designed similarly to Ineffa, expect Lunar variations creating new "exclusive" teams that are likely to leave even more older characters behind. Oh well, I'll take my Clorinde buff for now. Ineffa having a shield kinda makes Clorinde's C2 obsolete in a way, so she's a 2 in 1 summon for any Clorinde/Raiden fan. She also loves Staff of Scarlet Sands, which is a huge plus specifically for my account. She also shortens Clorinde's rotation, which was a much-needed QoL thanks to Clorinde's awkward 7.5s skill duration and Thoma's painful 21s burst cooldown. Now her rotations will flow as smoothly as can be. | Yup, ATK and Cryo Goblets are pretty close, so substats will be the deciding factor for which is better for your Skirk. Though in my case, I have C2 Furina who gives a crap ton of DMG%, so ATK% is just a lot more likely to be better in my specific scenario. |

| Oh hey, I have internet outage in my entire city. Fun. I had to refresh this page on and off for 3 hours just to be able to post this. EDIT: Imagine finally having a stable internet, to be hit instantly with the news of my girl getting gutted. Ineffa had a huge 10~15% nerf to her personal damage. This translates to 3~7% nerf to team DPS. So, what does that mean for the Hydro/Electro characters she supports? Well, she's no longer the undisputed BiS to Neuv anymore, now she's as good as Coffee. For Raiden/Clorinde, she's still a buff, just a bit less now. Today was a sad day... EDIT 2: *sigh* Better not get nerfed again...  SoSS is skewing my stats far into EM which makes the stat lines look bad, but with Ineffa's crit ascension + SoSS's EM>ATK conversion, she actually looks like a 5*. |

Quick rundown: Phanes AKA The Primordial One. Guy came to Teyvat, found it filled with dragons. Wiped them out. Put humanity on it instead. Called it Teyvat (or Ark). Then created 4 beings that are an extent of his powers. These are called the Four Shades of Phanes. All 5 of them are what is called The Heavenly Principles. Once Phanes killed the strongest dragons (AKA the Dragon Sovereigns), he converted their powers into Gnosis, and gave them to the powerful being now known as Archons. This is why Neuv hates their guts. They're represented by the 5 Artifacts pieces. Naberius, the Shade of Life, is represented by the Flower piece. Ronova, the Shade of Death, is represented by the Feather piece. Istaroth, the Shade of Time/Eons, is represented by the Sands piece. Asmoday, the Shade of Space, is represented by the Goblet piece. Finally, Phanes is the Circlet piece. Istaroth gave Ei and Makoto the tree of Inazuma (that time paradox to defend it after the cataclysm) and saved the oldest Teyvat civilization by creating Enkanomiya. Istaroth is theorized to be the creator of Venti and the original god of Mondstadt. Ronova is the one that cursed all the Khaenri'ahns and turned them into immortal Hilichurls. Ronova helped stabilize Natlan after the cataclysm by establishing the Night Kingdom and the seat of the Pyro Archon. Ronova made a deal to help Mavuika against the abyss at the price of Mavuika's life after the deal is fulfilled. Capitano took Mavuika's place at the end of Natlan's Archon Quest. Both Istaroth and Ronova have been foreshadowd very early in the game.    Naberius created Egeria, the creator of Focalors/Furina, to be the new heart of the Primordial Sea after the cataclysm. Rhinedottr AKA Gold, the mother and creator of Albedo, ate their heart and fused with them. Asmoday is the Sustainer, the one with the cubes power who fought the siblings at the intro of the game. So yeah, these guys can manipulate the fabric of reality, including time and causality, at least within Teyvat. |

| Did he? I thought P5 was cowritten by Hashino and Yamamoto, not this guy. This guy came later for Strikers and Tactica. I haven't meaningfully played any of the games he was the lead writer for, so I can't criticize his body of work, but I thought P5X's beginning was so widely hated, that Atlus had to step in and changed the writers. I don't know how the game's story carries on after the first few chapters, but honestly... yeah, I'd also fire the guy who thought this was good enough: But hey, I'd also fire a lot of P5's OG team while I'm at it, so what do I know. We haven't even started Nod-Krai, and we've already gotten a Fischl/Yae powercreep, Ineffa, who can do more damage than both AND have a shield. The standard for sub-DPS is just vastly different now from how it was pre-Natlan. Emilie and Chiori are expected to dip in value even more when their Lunar counterparts are out. |

The writer basically wants to justify whatever bullshit they pull out of their ass, so they're making the public selectively not care about what they don't want to bother writing about.
