| The future of Shounen Jump looks bright cuz both Harukaze Mound and Kaedegami have been purely amazing!! Some of the best debuts in recent years! My favorite chapter this week was from One Piece, Harukaze Mound and Kaedegami. Let's hope this keeps up! |

| So Ao Ashi ended just in time for its new season to be announced. Launching a new manga right after that is insane. Either this guy felt nothing from Ao Ashi or he just never needs to take a break. Meanwhile, Vinland Saga is nearing its final chapter!!!! That’s the most interesting news to me. I wonder if Teenage Mercenary is even good, since from the minute its anime was announced all I heard was slander. I don’t think I’ll tune in if it’s as overly-edgy and repetitive as they say. I read chapter one of Kaedegami thanks to this discussion, and I have to say I was impressed by the art. I have a lot I’m reading at the moment so maybe I’ll check up on this when it gets a couple more chapters. |

HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE!!!!! I dunno about you or anyone else, but I'm kinda stoked WSJ is showing this sort of shonen-MC like resilience to keep introducing sports manga series into the magazine, no matter how often they get the early axe! As for the poll, I voted for Hard Boiled Cop and Dolphin, not only cuz I'm a fan of Japanese comedy poking fun at hard boiled tropes in media, but because I gotta give it up for the Beelzebub bros 😭 Anywho, with Embers over what are your thoughts about it sub? Perhaps I've asked this before but have since forgot, but I honestly really liked it. I will honestly keep an eye out for both the author and artist because I think they both killed it in that series! |

Lol! Oh and it's kinda sad to see Embers go........feels like a wasted potential. But ig the first few chapters didn't really stick with the Japanese masses..... But the ending few chapters were so good! The "becomes a teacher" story conclusion would have been so good if it was given more time to breathe then it would have felt so much better..... |

Yeah and Ekiden also looks fun as it is based on a Japanese relay race sports! So hoping it sits well with the audience! Harukaze Mound gives off that 2010 feeling! And it has a promising cast of characters! Definitely one of my favorites from 2025 |
