If Alya anime doesn't end up getting a complete anime adaptation of the light novels. Which volume is the best stopping point for the anime in the light novels so far?

@Zarutaku V9, which presumably would be S3. Can't say much about V10 since it won't be out before July 1st.


That being said, I definitely don't want the show to stop until they've animated the bit about Alya discovering that Masachika knows Russian.

@aurora_yuuki It should stop before Yuki becomes the predictable losing heroine, I can't suffer seeing a brother being stolen from his sister.

Honestly, you'll be eating good no matter which of the heroines you're rooting for.

@aurora_yuuki ated is a big word but this anime is still trash , like it happens for a lot anime who comes first with a funny and/or original idea but after 3 or 4 episodes it doesn't work anymore and they go back to being another stereotyped anime of their genders

True for most light novels. Especially for many Kadokawa novels nowadays, in both romance and fantasy genres. One of the main reasons why I go to smaller Japanese light novel publisher sites to look for new light novels to read.

I look forward to your opinion when this foreign heroine romance novel gets adapted.

Has been months since I read it, don't remember if she is Swedish or Norwegian, considering majority of the foreign heroines in romance novels are from Nordic countries.

Nah, what I meant is that there are many illustration baits or synopsis baits recently.

An attractive illustration or an intriguing synopsis, but the story is not well written, either distracting, deviating or forced drama.

These types of baits are common among Kadokawa titles recently, Ishura, Sasaki And Peeps, Don’t Put Collar On Witches, etc.
Not sure why these types of baits are common in Kadokawa~

Roshidere synopsis sounds like Alya teasing Masachika but in recent volumes, Alya is aggressively seducing Masachika.

For the Angel Next Door, I think it can be considered an illustration bait. It has character development in the story but the romance novel is outclassed by many other cohabitation novels we have nowadays…..
The story should have ended in 4 volumes but SB Creative wants to milk the series….
Not bad, just outclassed. Especially with the large amount of cohabitation with foreign heroines nowadays.

I think so. It was the second foreign heroine romance novel I read, with Roshidere being the fourth. It also revealed to me that there are hidden gems in romance genre too, which eventually led me to the romance novel that made me drop Angel Next Door. :P

Too long and dull. Nowadays, authors of isekai and romcoms try to entice the audience by summarizing the synopsis into the title of their work. Can't say I approve.



Why would that make you drop it? I believe as a romance novel itself, The Angel Next Door is just fine. It's not stellar or novel, nor does it bring any novelty into the genre itself. Furthermore, unlike some romance novels, the writing The Angel Next Door has actual depth and the characters actually do undergo development. Even the side characters aren't redundant, and have a role to play in the story.

This romance LN is another one of those illustrations baits, I think it trends directly above Roshidere last week, below Takane No Hana (another illustration bait).

I have read around 20 chapters of the WN, no lewd scenes despite the author’s history of making the male lead seeing the female lead naked….

As you mentioned, Angel Next Door’s characters have depth and proper development as compared to majority of the romance LNs we have nowadays.
I don’t have the time to follow it because there are many better options out there. Furthermore, I don’t see any direction after volume 5~
I heard from other LN readers that the publisher is currently milking the series. I felt that volume 4 is a good jump-off point. I don’t dislike Angel Next Door, I think I will enjoy my time more when I look at other series. :)

For some whatever reason, typing in Roshidere in Japanese Bookwalker always recommend me Angel Next Door despite both of them being different romance genres~
