| The more I think about this show, the more I love it. I put on the soundtrack on a whim and suddenly I've finished the whole thing. The OP is such a bop, particularly this version which splices the entire show into one song which is insane. I love how every character feels fleshed out from the many different perspectives we see of them. It's something a lot of show don't have the ability to do. Whenever I'm at school thinking of how to make my life more rose colored, I remember that it already is, except it's colored in ways better than such, as the rose colored campus life doesn't technically exist. I'm glad there are people like Ozu by my side that pull me out of my monotonous routine, and seeing Watashi grow to accept him made me rethink the friends I've made and how much the really matter. The animation is the most unique out of any Masaaki Yuasa show, it pops with color, breaks traditional animation techniques, has awesome characters designs you'd see on an Asian Kung-Fu Generation album. This is what all novel adaptations should strive to be, reading the novel with the anime elevates both in turn. Having seen both it kinda gives the story an ethereal quality, like each idea of what the story really is, is in a way canon and applies to my enjoyment of the property. It must be stated that not every episode of TTG is that good, but it doesn't even matter at this point. What do you think? |

| It's not my favorite work from Yuasa but it is pretty close, everything about this anime it's really good: the animation, art style, the music, the message... I could rewatch this hundreds of times and I think I could never be done with it. So sad that the second season will mostly be on Disney plus because I'm broke and idk if at the time I can afford another streaming services |
