I don't think it will get a second season, seeing it's rating and popularity and the animation was below average frome the first episode.

still liking the story so far, I am interested thow it's going to end this season.

Highly unlikely! I’ve never seen a show get rated so poorly from jump like this one did. The lack of popularity and support will for sure guarantee this series not continue past this season.

You never know. It depends on how the Japanese like it. I haven't seen any ratings from Japan. As far as the rating on MAL, well, that should change by the time it ends, especially if the people who rated it saw horrid subs and decide to see if they got any better like I did. The subs I first saw either came from a free translation service or the translator was illiterate. Also, they were not timed well at all. They even stopped halfway through. The only reason I gave it another chance is because I actually did like it and hoped for better subs. Then again... they may have just made the anime to bring readers to the manga.

i mean, i’m very much loving it, and look forward to a new episode every week! but i also have access to amazon prime and so far prime has only had two issues: first episode the subtitles were not finished, and i think it was the third episode that’s release was weirdly delayed. otherwise it’s been great! such an amazing opening and ending in my opinion.

as much as myanimelist is great, i agree very much that the ratings matter more in japan then outside of it. of course, depending on its popularity outside of japan as well, like big anime’s such as demon slayer or jujutsu kaisen, i think that also can help with the likely hood of continuing. but in this case, i doubt it.

manga popularity of course counts for something as well.

as i’m not aware of the ratings of this anime in japan, i’m not sure if it will continue or not, but i sure hope it does!! i’m counting on the fact that they have such a popular cast that it will continue as well though 😅

@dragynfaerie, you are right. I don't understand why this series gets such a low rating here. And also we don't know how it is seen in Japan. Let's hope for a second season!!

@Memore After I commented I searched for the ratings and couldn't find them. There's a guy on X that posts the sales stats for the top 50 manga issues. Sometimes I think he will do anime but I don't know if it's seasonal. If I find it, I'll let you know.

@Memore or will you? I don't think it's ever been scanned. Unless you're just going to buy the Japanese volumes, of course.

@Memore I don't understand the low ratings either! The lore really is interesting and the animation is alright, it's not bad but it's not incredible either. And I also agree with the fact that it's the Japanese audience that matters when it comes to anime. I'm not sure they look how it performs in other countries - and MAL isn't an official rating site anyway. It doesn't even represent the rest of the world correctly. A lot of my friends who watch anime don't even know about MAL. :)

@GoatChan @memore there are scanlations, in english. I cannot find scans that go beyond volume 7. The manga started in 2008 and has 17 volumes (ongoing) - that means approximately one volume released per year (that isn't crazy lol). Even if the anime doesn't have a second season, we can't even have the whole story :/
