At what point does having 7 different personalities become a mental disorder and not an act?

Never actually. I don't know what made you thought that could happen in the anime, like, it's just a cute and low production romance.

Because none of the 7 personality are personality they are just willingness to play along her sempai with the usual tropes even more by the fact that at the end she chooses acting as career.

@Franss12314 I believe there's something called Method Acting. They're so used to playing characters they forget what their original personality even is.

and she's never fully engrossed herself into one character to that point? Method acting is more like, you keep acting as a role for like weeks/months and it becomes hard to shake off in some cases. Not short bursts for like only 1~2 lines at a time that only really covers a general trope. It's more so an exaggeration of an aspect of her own character that she fleshes out with her note than whatever you're insinuating

Also dissociative identity disorder (previously known as multiple personality disorder) is absolutely not what was potrayed here. DID is more a trauma response to protect yourself than a fun acting practice

It would only be a disorder if it caused noteworthy negative effects.

its just a wholesome anime, nothing to overthink too much about. I think they both know it’s an act and when to turn it off. Kinda like method acting but a light scale of that lol. I mean there’s a theatre club in the anime.

Also my two fav voice actors are there so I’m happy :)

Nah, none of the disorders. It's just Hayamin showing her voice acting skills.

When it leads to the person not being able to function normally in real life, which is not happening at all in this anime. Its just acting.
