Been watching this show repeatedly for a few months now, movie & special content included
. It’s really the only show I rewatch now, and I don’t understand why, with the popularity, a season 2 still hasn’t come.

The director just did a new anime, they definitely haven’t stared production, so even if they started right now you’d probably have to wait till 2026

On a related note: Among the original 4 anime titles featured on “Isekai Quartet”, “Tana the Evil” has the longest gap between seasons to date.

I really hope they get a new season out in the next few years. I heard the same as what another person mentioned. They did green light a new season, but it keeps getting pushed back.

Although regular releases of the audio books have been good while I wait. The only annoying thing is that the narrator has changed several times. It's a bit frustrating since the first book is narrated by Monica Rial.

I don’t know how reliable this source is but I was also wondering this a couple months ago and I seen article talking about how studios are scared bc of “cancel culture”
Don’t want a bad look, bc of the outside look of the anime it looks like a show about Nazi’s fighting. This is the only theory/article that made sense to me at the time with also the fact season 2 was announced in 2021 around the start and boom of cancel culture.

Again I have no clue if this is true, but it’s the only thing that makes sense to me bc of how popular the anime was and how soft the world is becoming.

With the look of Germans fighting (Nazi’s) it’s probably hard to advertise. Especially internationally and the potential blow back could be huge.

Kadokawa has confimed that it has been in production since 2021.
Even if the director directs another anime, it means that the production of Yojo Senki is simply on hiatus, but it has already started.

@JaysonNnN I can guarantee to you that this shit has not been in production for the past 3 years, the director has literally made multiple projects during that supposed time of production

This is taking so long to the extent that I believe this season has been quietly stopped from existing. Why?
Because unlike season 1 where some redditor kaiserdickriders could cope about how it is akshually about ww1, the light novel and even the movie clearly positions the main character as a stand in for Germany in the 1930s-40s.
Ergo an anime with such a positive portrayal of such a character is seen as heckin problematic. Tanya seaaon 1 came out JUST before the Japanese exodus into the GLOBAL MARKET including being localised and controlled at the source by China & America.

I want to be wrong so bad, but there is no other reason an anime THIS successful would not have tangible news about a release.
