| Come on, Kaguya being 'generic' is last thing I would think. Besides it is more stylised comedy with romance rather than typical romance. Not comparable imo. |

| It’s funny, I had just watched this anime within the last week or so and was pondering what I thought about it. This anime was on topic the first couple of episodes and then got sidetracked with the restaurant and other side characters, even the “sick arch” did not address their potential relationship fully. I felt unsatisfied with this first season. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

| @ejleon I'd say its a thing of mislabeling of some series. It does start as it will become a romance series, but for me it was drama and slice of life foremost, in a seinen context with romance taking more of a subtle touch for the background. Just finished it right now. I can only say than the characters just evolved as so did their feelings, just not a whole lot in the direction of romantic feelings for each other. |
