90's Anime Recommendations (Please Recommend Based On Post Body)

I am looking for some 90's anime recommendations to check out after watching Neon Genesis Evangelion. I want to watch some good fantasy and science fiction (no mecha) shows with good story lines and engaging characters. I don't typically like to watch long shows (70+ episodes). The 90's anime I have seen and liked are Record Of Lodoss War, Trigun, The Vision Of Escaflowne, Berserk 1997, Neon Genesis Evangelion, The End Of Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Princess Mononoke, Whisper Of The Heart, Magic Knight Rayearth season 1, I have tried some more shows but did not like them enough to finish, those being Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, El Hazard, and One Piece. I love the hand drawn art styles and aesthetics of a lot of the 90's anime I have seen so thanks for any suggestions!

I love The Rose Of Versailles which was a major influence on Utena, plus the art style of the show is beautiful so I’ll probably be watching that at some point!
