Agreed, out of all the girls she had close to zero character development in the entire series and the least chemistry and interesting interactions with the main character. To the movie credit, it did expand on her character in the last hour. But it did nothing to justify the main character relationship with her. Hell, even the Childhood-friend-card doesn't work because he also spent time with Ichika back then. The entire decision felt like a plot twist for shock factor. It's 100% a downgrade from the first 2 seasons, I gave it a 6/10. It wasn't horrible; it was just fine.

In every multiple choice anime, the MC always picks the wrong girl. Best girl losing is like an Olympic event for me, they all get silver, Miku is just another 2nd place.

crazy to think the ending was 4 years ago, but I think the ending was the way it was so it would be more on the even side (nino/Miku beef)
