"Oshi no Ko" just won 2nd place for Anime of the Year in 10th Anime Trending Award (10thATA). It also claimed other 6 awards, including: Best in Adapted Screenplay, Best in Character Design, Best in Voice Cast, Drama Anime of the Year, Girl of the Year & Supporting Girl of the Year (both claimed by Kana Arima). Congratulations!!

@Saphhh Tengoku Daimakyou (Heavenly Delusion) won the first place, but the votes are pretty close. Vinland Saga S2 claimed 3rd place, followed by The Dangers in My Heart & JJK2.

@Inexplicable According to Anime Trending, "the Boy/Girl of the Year award considers characters of ALL roles, main or supporting." But in my personal opinion, it's still a bit weird. It would be much better if they have Supporting Girl of the Year, Main Girl of the Year, and an overall Girl of the Year.

This award feels like the best appreciation of anime this year, not like the Crunchyroll Anime Awards which was only make it the popularity contest only focusing on JJk ,aot or horimiya

theres 1 show i dont agree with, but otherwise thats such a god damn good list in comparison to crunchyroll. do they also not include fall btw? or not include unfinished shows? coz neither pluto or frieren are there...

@TheCupSlammer Frieren wasn't included because it didn't finish in 2023, but it has secured its place to compete for AOTY next year (same for The Apothecary Diaries). And Pluto... Unfortunately, this award is not friendly to ONAs. The nominees of AOTY basically came from top 4 anime in each season. ONAs and other animes still have a chance through "wild card rule", but it's much more difficult to advance. As far as I know, Pluto lost in wild card round.
