I mean the manga author and the team said they were fully dedicated to completing this project so i'm not quite sure but it could be a lot of seasons but they also could pick up the pace with the amount he gains each season. Still can't say anything for sure tho.

I looked it up and could'nt find any definite answer but in some ireddit post it says that 60 chapter had been adapted. NOTE: (This is not factual information and could be wrong.)

But seriously, I think based on the current pace in manga , which I didn't read till now because I don't want to spoil myself , it would take around 35 seasons for them if they cover same number of chapters every season and same number of girls get introduced in same period of chapters.

Now, has it worked as of now?

Maybe we will see a better effect once S2 lands, but overall, it's clear, again, that the people funding the anime are betting on this to be the next big thing of the harem genre.

@Connort1998 You're right; that makes sense.
Nowadays, getting two seasons for a manga/LN adaptation isn't as uncommon as it was in the 2010s, even if they aren't exactly heavy hitters commercially.

This manga seems to be pushing merchandise really hard, so that might be how they are trying to complement manga sales.

I guess where we will see if this managed to be a success or not is if it can secure more than two seasons.
Excusing the hiring of so many seiyuus in main roles, especially if they're as prominent as the ones we've gotten so far, is going to be very difficult if the show isn't having the desired monetary return effect.

This can easily rack up production costs.

I'm all in if they plan to make multiple seasons. Seems like the author and the anime staff are committed and a project like this will sell well automatically. This reminds me of Quintessential Quintuplets, but while that one stopped at 5 girls this one goes even beyond that

@Connort1998 I'm usually just a lurker here, but I had to make an account just to point out an issue with your point.

While, yes, manga sales are one contributor to the success to an anime there's also another thing that can make something a success: Merchandise.

And from what I'm hearing the merch sales for 100 Girlfriends is actually doing just fine. And with more girlfriends soon to enter the fry (One of them being voiced by the popular Rie Takahashi) it'll mean more girls to make merch on.

Now I'm not going to say "expect a season 3" because I rather stay grounded in my expectations. But I do think it's safe to say that 100 Girlfriends does have some level of popularity.

It's no One Piece or Jujutsu Kaisen, but it doesn't need to be them. 100 Girlfriends is it's own niche series and thus shouldn't be compared to the big Shonen action series. So long as 100 Girlfriends is popular within it's target audience then it'll survive.

So I think it's safe to say that the series is going fine. But what do I know. I'm just a lurker here pointing out that there's a second side to the coin.
