Love the animation and character designs on this show, it just goes the extra mile every episode. Nano's swimsuit was...something, I think I liked her butt cleavage more than her regular one. Harakari's mole didn't get enough screen time :(. This show just has the perfect mix of girls, not that their personalities are anything new but they just seem fresh itnstead of the same old tropes. Miyu Tomita is really making Karane all the more adorable, she has played lots of recognizable characters but I think this is her first tsundere and I think she has really found her niche. I think one of this show's biggest achievements has been keeping Rintaro likable this whole time, you just can't hate the guy. |

I really hope they don't ruin this by throwing in a trap character. It's surprising how many harem shows feel the need to make things weird by doing that. Shizuka's hair being the same color as her bathing suit made it look like she had really big oppai in a couple shots there and I was quite confused for a minute. I knew Karane would have the best body of them all, which is why it's so frustrating she normally has that stupid sweater on. |

Episode 7 Here comes the last of the main cast, Kusuri the chemist. She has Rentaro drink a potion that makes his body a magnet, and she's making all sorts of weird potions. As it turns out, Kurusi is actually a busty third-year, but thanks to a failed experiment she has the appearance of an elementary school girl. Haraki's sweat melts her clothes, Shizuka grows rabbit ears, and Nano's hair has a mind of its own thanks to Kusuri's potions. And then Kusuri feeds the girls the love potion meant for Rentaro, and they all go crazy. Kusuri sure is a mad scientist who just comes up with all sorts of useless concoctions, and Rentaro finds himself in a messy situation. |

I didn't get the "Boston Karane" sub reference. Can anyone explain? Also, given that the other girls' names poke fun at their respective character traits, what does Lab Girl's name imply? Not sure why we need another loli character given that we have Shizuka, but... I guess they're different "flavors" of loli? And if we're going for 100, all the flavors of every type will be accounted for... |

Episode 8 With all the girlfriends turned into kiss zombies, it becomes a survival horror parody of Resident Evil. The girlfriends go chasing Rentaro around as all that's on their mind is the need to kiss. Rentaro should have known better than to pick Shizuka up as that made him a sitting duck for a kid from her. And he got Hakari and Karane to yuri-kiss each other. And Kuzuri should have known better than to use the negation potion on herself. But in the end, she made enough to put a stop to all this. Pretty funny stuff there as things got really crazy. |

OK that was pretty wild. The horror references (esp. Nano breaking the doorknob and peeking through the opening) were hilarious, as were some of the subs ("Kissingless" got me). Also, NGL, but Shizuka's kissing scene was...something else. And I hate the loli trope. |

Loved the kiss language they were all speaking LOL can't believe the subber missed the chance to write "Heeeeere's Nano!" ala the Shining. Hakari and Karane kissing each other was pretty funny too, feel like the subs kinda missed the mark there too. It said something like "he doesn't jump to conclusions " or something but should have been more like "too nice to realize they are into it". LOL Speaking of kisses, yeah Shizuka's kiss. O_o;; DAMN. For a silly absurd comedy that had to be one of the most passionate kisses I have ever seen in anime. Sure beats 99% of the romcoms (or even actual romances) I have seen. |

Episode 9 It's off to Lovezono Flower Park, a place owned by Hakari's family, where urban legend has it that whoever catches the bouquet is guaranteed happiness for life. Physical attacks are supposed to be banned, but the Gorilla Syndicate found a loophole in that the leader throws her own men to take down the other chasers. But in the end, Shizuka uses her lightweight body and got a lift by the gorilla's whirlwind attack to get the bouquet. Then Hakari breaks up with Rentaro and he goes over to see her as it turns out that she's an ojousama. Hakari's mother is none too pleased about her relationship with Rentaro, and it turns out she's moving. Seeing that he already has four other girlfriends and that this is not a rejection that it should have been fine that Hakari broke up on her own volition, but he knows that's not what she really wants. That goes to show that things aren't exactly all well and good being the daughter of a rich family seeing that those girls have to do whatever their parents tell them to. |

That's some good genetics in Hakari's family, they always say look at your girlfriends mom to see what you get if you marry her. Lools like Hakari is just going to get even better. :) No gorrila girls for the harem? Like to see Rentaro fall head over heels for one of them, easy to love them all when they are all hot or cute. That's what anime needs a show where a guy gets a harem of ugly girls with bad personalities. Lol |

I guess it's been this way since the get-go, but the "Rentaro's Family" thing + all the marriage talk really says the quiet part out loud: This is just a polygamy show, right? Doesn't make it any less hilarious though. I feel like to the degree there is (or will be, maybe?) a "winner," the emphasis on Hakari, and the fact that she was arguably "first," means it'll be her. Karane is still best girl for me though. |

Episode 10 And the mission to infiltrate the Hanazono mansion is on in order to free Hakari from her family's overreaching clutches. It's a good thing the family has a cat that has been quite the troublemaker to fool the security guards. Shizuka's small size allows Rentaro and company to get past the guard dog. Then comes the hallway rigged with infrared lasers, and to get past them Rentaro and Karane tie each other together and walk on the walls above the lasers, with a parody of the Mission Impossible theme song playing in the background, and even Rentaro making a remark about Tom Cruise. But when they get to Hakari's room, they end up triggering an alarm, and then Rentaro hears the story from Hakari's mother as is turns out Hahari is a widow and she's desperate to find somebody who is just like her late husband for Hakari to marry, and Rentaro isn't exactly that guy she was looking for. While the mission was to free Hakari, Rentaro just can't help but to sympathize. It will be interesting to see what comes of this, but it's clear that Hahari doesn't want Hakari to marry just anybody. |

Episode 11 Hahari sure is hard to figure out. Rentaro's relationship is put to the test with a lie detector chair, and seeing that it detects even the slightest lie that Karane is not exactly pleased wit this device. But Rentaro did prove his relationship is true. And even more so when Hakari was jumping out of the window in her room as Rentaro came to the rescue so that she falls into the pond. And now that Hahari accepts the relationship, the other girls have a sleepover. A special ending was teased at the beginning, and that's exactly what happens at the end, and it's a pretty funny one going to show just how much Hahari has become attached to Rentaro. Quite an amusing way to settle things just when it looked like a bad end was unavoidable. One more episode left to go. |

I guess it was inevitable, but the increasing size of the harem means less airtime for each of the girls. Nano in particular barely showed. Karane (best girl) got a lot of screen time, though, so that worked out OK. Having the tsundere be the test subject for the lie detector test was genius. |

Episode 12 (Season 1 Finale) To end this season, it’s a slumber party at the Hanazonos. Shizuka is wrapped up to become Sushizuka, and Rentaro takes a bath with the girls looking to peep with that Mission Impossible knockoff theme song playing in the background. And then they pray to Hahari’s late husband, and he looks pretty young save for his white hair, but he’s been dead for 16 years. Rentaro ends up kissing Hahari, and meets her husband’s ghost and gives Rentaro his blessing to take care of Hakari and Hahari. Then things get crazy when Hahari becomes the new school chair. Pretty crazy way for things to end as Hahari is going far and beyond in showing her affection for Rentaro. And with a second season coming, Rentaro passes by the girlfriends he will be falling in love with soon. But in the meantime, that’s a wrap for this show. Final Thoughts This is not your run-of-the-mill harem romcom as this show as this show has a creative concept and a plot that stands out among the other shows in this genre. The show has great comedy and characters, but aboce all this show takes the time to develop all these characters. Of course, while there will be 100 girls, starting out with establishing the first five does wonders. That said, this show has its issues in that its production values are not the best, all while this show gets too over-the-top at times that it gets in the way of itself. Nevertheless, this show has strong source material, and the anime does a great job capturing it as it is centered around the comedy, and while it has a good number of cliches commonplace in harem shows, this show understands that there’s a time and place for them, and they don’t get in the way of the show. Grade: B+ (8/10) |

Nice, they are already teasing the Rentarou’s future girlfriends. Hint: they already teased one in past three episodes ;) Show isn’t complete as we’re getting a second “cour” but goddammit this arguably one of the greatest ecchi harem romcom adaptations ever. As I’ve said this manga deserves a complete adaptation. Please keep this same exact staff for the anime. |

I was almost surprised the maid didn't fall for him. I saw maybe 4 future girlfriends. A possible chuuni or goth type girl, a sporty girl, a stuck up oujo-sama type girl and the girl with long dark hair looks like she could be another Nano type. Maybe more proper bookish and less analytical though. This may have been the best comedy of the season. I kind of think it surpassed Girlfriend, Girlfriend in the laughs per episode category 8/10 |

Well that was better than it had any right to be. As wild as it was, it kept me laughing, which is job #1 for any comedy. It'd be interesting to get a female perspective on Rentaro's "pitches" to each of the girls. From a male perspective, it seems like he always says the right thing at the right time (his earnestness is part of his appeal, I guess), but is he TOO perfect? I'd be curious as to what "the other side" thinks—from the 0.01% of female anime watchers who can actually tolerate a harem anime. For me, a solid 8/10. |

Very, very funny and it just got better as it went on. The ridiculousness of the situations yet sincerity of his feelings keeps this from being the creepy show it could (should?) be. (Pretty funny when the ghost dad passed on knowing his girls were in good hands). So glad we get a second season but how many girls before he just gets stretched too thin, there are only 24 hours in a day. Ah who cares I hope we get to see all 100 if it stays as funny as it is. :) Also for all the Karane lovers, (not that I care if you like her or not) https://otakumode.com/shop/658859adf67d0b0027e52297/The-100-Girlfriends-Who-Really-Really-Really-Really-Really-Love-You-Karane-Inda-1-7-Scale-Figure |

^That's perfect, especially with the cans around her feet recreating her first iconic moment. Love it. It's weird; she's best girl for me, so my natural impulse is to root for her to "win" (even though I know she won't). But everyone's a "winner" in this show, aren't they? Excited for season 2. |
