Dunno about this series. It's probably not that popular.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

You didn't got the point pal. Solo Levelling is like the One Punch Man of Manhwas in terms of art quality. So, to meet those standards the adaptation needs to be on par with the first season of One Punch Man too. I'm not saying the animation is mediocre but if the anime wants to be on par with its source material, then it better be nothing less than phomenal.

Second season of OPM was also really wanted by fans but look at reaction of fanbase after S2 got released.

Nah I don't buy that. This anime has been #1 and #2 on Top 10 Upcoming Anime, how is that not hype? Also all the trailers getting massive views.

4 Cut Hero got an anime and I didn't even find out till I saw a random clip way later. Same with Lookism, and A Returners Magic Should Be Special. But Solo Leveling was announced and you can't turn the corner without hearing about it.

The fact that there's people who have never even heard of Manhwas in general are now finding out about them through this anime, I think sort of speaks to the hype.

Csm was extremely hyped since its announcement but we all know how it went later on. Kny wasnt popular until the hype erupted after ep 19. Solo leveling is pretty popular and generated a significant amount of hype during its announcement and trailer release. I guess the marketing is a bit lacking but people will get hyped again eventually once the anime starts.
Btw the manhwa was popular for its art. The story wasn't that bad though. Let's see if the anime can capture those moment.

If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

@Pablo_Neruda1 300k for a new anime before its release is a lot. Solo leveling is pretty big as is. It will eventually cross 200k as we get closer to the release date and if the marketing stays up.

the manwha was amazing to read I personally can't wait for the show to come out but crunchyroll has not gave it justice and has sucked at promoting it. The 4 trailers they came out with all showed the same thing. The anime will be amazing but people don't care about it cuz crunchyroll can't build hype for anything

But I'm not a doomer and actually like the trailers aswell. Looking at reddit some people freak out about such small things and I rather trust the guys who actually watched 2 episodes of the anime already instead of the doomers going by trailers only
