| How good is the dub? I don't expect it to be cowboy bebop level, be is it a good level like code geass or steins gate? If not, I will just watch the sub. |

| Utena's dub is okay; I wouldn't say it's as good as Slayers' dub, and it's definitely a bit off at times, but it does the job it needs to. The shadow play girls are excellently cast, though, and I think the actors generally improve over the course of the show. |

| I'd give Utena's English dub a 6/10 at best. It's one of the worst dubs I've heard for a "classic anime", but it's not entirely terrible either. Utena, Shiori, and Touga had the best performances in my opinion with Miki, Kozue, Wakaba, Mitsuru and Akio being passable. Conversely, Juri, Kyouichi, Nanami, Dios, and Anthy were annoyingly bad although most of them seemed to improve as the show went on - besides Anthy who remained terrible; it's like the actress lacked all emotion other than this forced happiness which made me totally dislike the character, but I guess it did contribute well to Anthy's passivity. |
