| Idk about "Japanese delinquents" ......but as for delinquents as a whole, I refuse to agree, this show is not accurate in portraying delinquent as a whole, although it sure tries it's best to take inspiration from different shows n movies but surely fails in it. 💀pretty inaccurate, but sure it completes the fantasy of those adolescents. |

| Okay, I'm sorry but since you're asking how accurate it is in Japan.. How does anyone know? Surely the best 'delinquents' anywhere in the world shouldn't be known??? Since y'know, they are delinquents.. Also, I'm pretty sure most delinquents don't have time travel.. but ye, you wanted to compare the two.. So, that's my view. |

| Honestly think its quite accurate. They are a biker gang after all and not the actual Yakuza, so them being middle schoolers is understandable. Plus considering the storys time period is early 2000s which Japanese biker gang was still popular, i think TR is a good portrayal of real life delinquents. |
| as with all entertainment media based on reality, it is heavily exaggerated and fantastical, it also likely differs vastly in it's complexities and nuance. However as it's based on a real culture, time period and phenomenon there are likely many parallels you can draw between to two. So Tokyo Revengers or even any delinquent anime tbh, will ofc display a lot of similarities to the reality of delinquency/yankii culture whilst differing from the actual lived experience of those within it; in the real world. in short; whilst it might share similarities to real happenings, it undoubtedly also looks very different to it's real world counterpart. |
