| Agreed. It's so sad it got pretty intense shit for its animations as if they were the point of the show, when in the meanwhile it delivered so much else. By and large I find that reversing the "gender roles" is a pretty outdated way to make stuff interesting, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work any longer. In gokushufudou it works because it doesn't matter what the setup for the romance is: it's not like the show is trying to deliever some deep moral lessons or anything, it's just trying to make you laugh and in the meanwhile it portrays something wholesome. |
