SO my man Okazaki is alone with Kyou and decides to go to sleep? Talk about missing out on some alone time with a cute girl...

These anime guys really have the girls throwing themselves at them. IRL, it doesn't really work that way unless you're hot.

"If there was a girl out there that loved you so much that she couldn't control herself would you.." Well, I would probably feel extremely validated and would want to meet her.

Bruh who the heck is that old dude?

That violin recital was hilarious.

Hmmm, I wonder what'd happen if she played a different instrument instead? An instrument with less margin for error. Something like... a drum!

Also, wow, what a good hook for the next episode.

My expectations keep being subverted when it comes to Kotomi. When she whipped out her homemade pie, I was sure that if her violin playing was any indication, it would be inedible - but it turns out she can actually follow a recipe. And then when Nagisa said that Kotomi had improved prior to her recital, I thought that maybe she would surprise everyone with an amazing performance - but alas, Nagisa was just being characteristically polite. I don't understand why they went through the trouble of arranging a public performance for Kotomi instead of signing her up for some actual lessons.

That dream Tomoya had went from silly to legitimate nightmare fuel real quick.

I feel like this line perfectly sums up my main problem with characters like Kotomi and Fuuko. She's talking about a third year student who's older than both her and Tomoya. The fact that Kotomi acts so eccentric is one thing, but when other characters constantly treat her like a child, it kind of dehumanizes her. How can I be expected to take her problems seriously when the characters within the show itself aren't willing to show her the same level of respect? And the issue gets even worse when these types of characters become potential love interests. Fuuko naturally slid into the role of acting like Nagisa and Tomoya's surrogate daughter (despite being the same age as Tomoya), but I don't expect the same to happen with Kotomi. Anyway, sorry for the mini-rant. I realize this isn't a problem unique to Clannad, but it's a trope that really annoys me. I appreciate the unique humor that Kotomi and Fuuko provide, I just wish their childish nature wasn't so exaggerated.

Finally, we got the inexplicable confirmation that Kyou has been trying to hook her sister up with Tomoya, despite the fact that she's already noticed how close he and Nagisa are. And despite the fact that Ryou has shown no indication of having a crush on Tomoya until the last episode. This development seems poorly foreshadowed and doesn't seem to fit with any of the characters' prior interactions. Also, I've been under the assumption that the named characters in the OP are the ones with "routes" in the game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that imply that you aren't even given the option to pursue a relationship with the one character who actually has prior interest in the MC? That seems really messed up. But I don't play VNs, so maybe I'm missing something.
