This new episode got me by surprise, I expected a lot more action. Last cour adapted almost half of volume 61, but in these two episodes they only adapted at least two chapters from volume 62. We are sure they are adapting Ichibei vs Yhwach? Are they going to adapt volumes between 1/2 episodes? Also, if they are adding a whole new fight of Shinji, I'm pretty much scared of them rushing Komamura's fight or making Shinji's bankai introduction useless. What are your opinions on pacing?

It's normal that they will adapt more chapters in the coming episodes. Fights in Bleach are fast to read and most of the action can be covered in a few seconds, and most of this season will be non-stop fights, so things are going to flow faster.

They didn't change on the pacing. It's the same avg chapter/episode as the previous cour was.

The pacing has been fine so far, nothing bad...

It feels like the studio doesn't want to waste time, I like it.
I do still hope they will animate something unexplained in the manga like what happened to Shaz Domino and Kira.

I have not volume 61 physically so I didn't check on it, I expected most chapters of that volume were adapted in episode 13 of the last cour. That's cool. If the last episode is 1h long it makes sense, but I mean, they have to adapt until volume 67 if Ichibei vs Yhwach;; episodes 3-4 (volume 62), 5-6 (volume 63), 7-8 (volume 64? maybe they can make kenpachi fight in one episode), 9-10 (volume 65), 11-12 (volume 66). If episode 13 is one hour long I think they can make it right, maybe if volume 62 is shorted to an episode and a half... the thing that scares me is that there are pretty good fights that I would expect to be expanded a little, I won't be much happy if Komamura's battle is reduced to 5 minutes.

yeah I was thinking the same but it scares me a little. I mean, even if they are pretty much "fast fights" (in this arc) and in some cases have not too much choreo, the fights are pretty cool and the impact of Kubo's draws and panels makes them incredible. That is something that I think it's not easy thing to do in the anime. For example, Yamamoto's fight in the manga is very impactful mostly because of the drawing and storyline than the fight itself (it's pretty much Yamamoto dissing Yhwach). I liked how they adapted it, but some friends that are not big fans of Bleach argued me that they were expecting more of a classical shonen fight (idk more of a long difficult fight). In my opinion the fight was cool and it has to do with how it was written, but I can understand their opinion too. I mean, I'm feeling most of the fights are adapted as the panels itself and not exactly with the same feeling they have in the manga. Now, if they are adapting in a gap of 4 minutes, I'm scared moments as Komamura turning himself into a dog, Rukia's bankai or Kenpachi's shikai being rushed (only adapted as a panel). I imagine tho Kenpachi vs Gremmy will have almost an episode. But I'm scared that if Shinji's bankai scene is long, they are going to adapt some fights in 5 minutes.

I do agree that Kubo's panels and drawings is what makes Bleach fights good, so in motion some parts are bound to lose some of the impact they had in the manga. About the Yama vs Royd, the fight was made more dynamic in the anime, with extended scenes and the animation making the fight feel more alive than the manga one who was mostly carried by the panels.
There's also something to take in mind, and that is that not all the fights are gonna be treated equally. The staff will give priority to the important ones like they did with the first season. Which ones they will be? We will see, but I didn't dislike how they made Hitsugaya vs Bazz-B and Soi Fon vs BG9 Part 1, which are the fights I liked the least in this arc, so I'm not concerned for the moment.

good point, I agree. The battles they've animated so far weren't that good in the manga; I just hope they haven't wasted too much time in them. I've heard they have signed some key animators for episode 3, idk if it's true but I'm very hyped about it. Meanwhile the best points in the storyline are good adapted and they give them the correct amount of time, I don't mind rushing idk M the Mask vs Kensei for example

thanks you for your answer! you've really solved some points I wasn't getting :))
