1. Gabimaru is a notorious and very dengerous captive, So It would be obivous that asaemon assinged with Gabimaru is as powerful as him. But they way Sagiri hesitastes to kill I wonder why she was assinged to Gabimaru in the first place...and on the top of that That society's thinking about womens are very stereotypical, so assingng a Female asemon with someone like Gabimaru doesn't make sense to me.
2.Her inner conflict is itself convooluted, She is very skilled , It was obivous from the 1st episode when she fought a fearsome battle with Gabimaru without any hesitation. But as time passes we get to introduced with her inner conflicts ...laster on In the island She was so conflicted that she was bascially freezed. Like she can enagage in a battle with a Human but she can't engage ion battle with Monsters? How does her Inner conflict works?..
3. Writter trying so hard to make her appealing and complex, but he kinda forgot that only mysogynistic shades and throwing out random inner conflicts and using it over and over doesn't add dimensons to a character.
4. I question writters intension as well, His character is based on to oppose damsel in distress troupe but yet he toned down Sagiri's character just to be a damsel in distress for heros to save.
I guess writer is very confused either he sould make Sagiri a cool samurai or a heroin who against fights society's norm and try to break free it. Or maybe she could be just a damsel in distress....Mangaka is just throwing troupes here and there.
Theres so much wrong with her 1st dimension and archtype that It would convince me Her as a good character even after her development.
1. First chapter/episode, had the Shogunate assign the Asaemon in search for criminals slated for execution across thew country (find and choose your criminal to monitor), and another reason that could be spoilers.
2. When shes in her execution phase or aka middle ground, she gets to her peak, when shes concentrated, (ep6 explains). You can't expect people to be consistent, and environment is another factor that affects peoples view, emotion and experience, especially new events that occur.
3. Alright then, name some anime and mangas that recycle misogynistic views. Since this is a Shonen, there are also a lot of overpowered females as well with contrivances, such as Tsunade, Boa Hancock, Mikasa Ackerman, and etc etc.
When Genji stated that she is to bear child for the Yamada clan, it was realistic to want to continue the bloodline and tradition.
Same thing stated in the Edo period, the EXACT period this manga takes place in, "Men are to worry whats outside the house, woman are to worry whats inside the house" if anything, this anime really capture did the history and practices accurately. When Sagiri get frowned upon from both sides, no matter which side she took, it all ties to the Edo period perspective.
4. Episode 6 changes this

Xd, You are breaking my points like we are in some kind of arguement. Anyway, I am stating out writting flaws and the reasons why I have found her annoying, and you are just saying to me what happened in anime(buddy, I do have see the anime and I know what things happend and those things did't worked for for me).....and Yea, thanks for the effort to correct all my spelling mistakes (I guess , I succeeded to make you annoy that much, ha ha)....
