Luna did all of that just for survival & I think survival is always kept above the morales in most cases

And when you actually watch someone accepting their mistakes & consequences for it, then you can understand the circumstances of that person & in her case she couldn't have escaped either from that assassination group of hers so she was already pushed in a pit where she was doing whatever she was taught, so that's the only explanation I can think of why did they spare Luna
(Nonetheless that doesn't make up for the punishment she actually deserved for killing a lot of people)

However, the most interesting thing for me was the way she switched the sides and we didn't get to know if she was actually loyal towards that person & group who educated her & made her eligible of carrying out her job, how can she remain loyal towards princess if she couldn't remain loyal towards them? Or maybe their can be some inner motive behind her acceptance of princess' proposal.......

Well this series is actually TERRIBLE in every way, so don't need to give another thought about her
She is just here to complete the harem

im with ya there, was the only life she knew and feared what the rest of her organization would do if she didn't.

I'm also neutral as to whether it's bad or not, I myself still enjoy it to a point, there are some trash parts tho, so, neutral

this is such a tropey isekai it's basically just a meme. caring about nuance, depth, or substance is not gonna work out for you

also the argument of "what if they killed someone close to you" isn't the same as "they killed a lot of people". one is trying to appeal to biased emotions, the other to one's broad sense of right and wrong. and fwiw reformative justice (broadly considered the goal for many) would say that appealing to people's desire for revenge is counterproductive and costly. the goal is (in theory) a more productive society, not punishing people for the sake of punishment. if they can convert an assassin to a loyal guard, then that's an absolute win.

i get what you mean, like in “Handyman Saito”, the male assassin character had a massive redemption arc and it alludes that he’ll continue living the rest of his life atoning for the things he did. no one pardoned him, n he’ll be hunted forever but regardless, he pushes on, like that should be the bare minimum lvl of effort, not literally failing mid-attempt and getting a full pardon on a whim💀

That's the thing...she didn't kill anyone he knew and he doesn't even know how many she killed. On the other hand, he had a good time with her and she told him her sad history so he is much more connected to her. WHY would he care about a bunch of strangers who died in this situation? I know this sound heartless, but that's the truth.

You say she killed innocents, but is that true? An assassin's group doesn't go around killing peasants, but instead they will kill targets that most of the time will be important people. In a world with nobles most of the time important people will be them and since most (but not all) nobles tend to be trash i can't say i feel compelled to stand for them.

If i were him i would ask her to stop her assassinations and if she stopped i would be fined with that. Just like he did.

Dude, she works as an assassin for a group. She can't say yes or no, she has to do it. Why the hell you think she was picked from the streets and trained? There is no free lunch in this world.
The moment she was picked by an assassin to be an assassin she had to be one. It's that simple.

People like us with choices to make may not understand it. I'm not saying is a good thing to do (crime never is a good thing), but it was the hand she got and it was the hand she had to play with.
No it has nothing to do with simp as i don't like the girls in this anime very much.
If it were me it would be 2 points that would make want deal with her.

1 - Did i know any victim? Sure the princess was going to be one victim (she is a friend) which is bad, but in this case is more complicated because Luna was also a friend (albeit for a short time) so the second point...

2 - did my life was in danger? If she had attacked me, depend on how things went i would not forgiven her.

For example, the assassin from the Handyman Saito tried to kill them multiple times and his reason for it was ridiculous. Yes, he was trying to save a woman, but why does killing people help with that? Also, i value my life more than the life of some unknown woman so i would go " fuck her and fuck you". He would get 0 help from me.

So the fact that she became friends with him first without second intention matter a lot more than unknown people.

Of course, i'm talking about the isekai world. If it was in IRL I would not accept it either.
