I replied to a forum but idk how well known this info is. Netflix Japan has Oshi No Ko with English subs. You can subscribe to the cheapest tier of Netflix with ads and then VPN to Japan (I.e. nord or express), and because Japan Netflix doesn’t have an ad supported tier so it shows you no ads. Netflix also has a decent catalogue for anime in Japan that’s been locked out of Crunchyroll in NA like bleach and made in abyss.

Hope this helps anyone that wants to watch but doesn’t like or have hidive.

I mean, technically HIDIVE is cheaper than that tho. It’s only $5 a month, except I will say there are a very small amount of good anime on there. I’m just subbing for 3 months and then quitting it. It’s almost too much of a pain to watch from websites these days
The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

Yea I was just really disappointed with hidive, it kept defaulting the subs to Spanish for some reason and the readability of their subs is really poor. Not to mention the lack of content.

thanks, but that seems like a lot of stress if it isn't on Crunchyroll I use 9anime. I'm not subscribing to Hidive just for one show lol

HIDIVE has the worst website for streaming I’ve ever used. Every time a show is locked behind HIDIVE I get so disappointed

HIDIVE mobile app keeps settings bar up on the bottom of my screen and it’s Roku app only reverses and fast forwards in 5 minute increments. Worst streaming platform ever

Bleach is on Disney+ and Made in abyss is on prime video in NA tho? I don’t see the problem, both are accessible.

PSA to the PSA. hidive is an utter atrocity, if there is a way to avoid it I'd say go for it. Especially if you prefer dub or like clued in to shows departing instead of going to watch another episode and the show is no longer on the platform

I usually watch on my Xbox or fire stick. I really hope hidive flops and all thd anime I want to see goes to Crunchyroll or Netflix, I should probably just ask one of my friends if they have hidive but I highly doubt it. It’s such a new app that no one knows about unless they’re up to date with anime coming out

Sail the seas, and order merchandise / blurays if you love the show.
