On one side, I want to buy anime and games figures of characters I love in same scale. On the other side, I know characters heights in the story.

Question: How companies who make figures work this out? Considering the scale of the figure and character's actual height in the story.

Examples:
Luffy: 174 cm
Shanks: 199 cm
Brook: 277 cm
Jinbe: 301 cm

What if I wanted the Straw Hat Pirates crew in one scale. How are they gonna work this out considering characters heights?

Well I am not involved in sculpturing or whatever they do to make figurines but I suppose they will work it out the same way people worked on big sculptures in ancient times, making big figures is not a new thing.

If 3 meters is alot than what do we say about stuff like Mountain God in Appennine Mountains which is 10 meters tall, Leshant Giant Buddhe which is 71 meters or the tallest known sculpture from ancient time the Colossus of Rhodes which was around 77 meters tall, ask them how they made it.

Or whoever who works on sculptures in nowadays and try to make same stuff like these:

I mean if I want Luffy and Jinbe in scale 1:6, are both figures gonna be 12 inches? That's my problem with my understanding of scales of action figures.

I think most companies just guess and improvise it tbh.

I guess so?

If they do something of 1:6 than it should work the same as you do with maps of 1:100 etc. at least that's how I understand that

I think it depends on which company is making them, and the thickness of the base.
I mean... just check out my Junkos

Usually (Anime figures) are around a certain height in general, perhaps not sticking to exact height of other characters of the same series (maybe I'm wrong though? ...I'm still a bit of rookie to Anime figures).
