| A Saturday welcome to @anakg, @starflutter and of course, @outneumbrd, our newest members! Glad you're here! TBryantS said: Didn't expect the warm welcome so thanks @boldulysses. I guess you want to make this an introduction thread so I'll oblige. Let's see, besides anime I like playing card games (Magic the Gathering, Rook, Gin Rummy, you name it), and all things water sports related (swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, etcetera). I work overtime all the time like every week, I'm getting close to 30, and the coolest trip that I every went on was a week long vacation out in the Montana, Wyoming, Idaho region (got to see Yellowstone and all that jazz). As for MAL, I've been on here for a little over five years now. Just saw it mentioned online somewhere, made an account, and all I'll be darn a friend of mine was on here, too. Been a casual users ever since. (It'd be interesting to hear from other users how they found their way onto this site as well). This is a relatively new club as far as MAL clubs go (a club I forgot that I joined just turned 10 years old a couple of weeks ago but it's dead over there). Y'all seemed pretty cool and somewhat active so that's why I joined. Anyway, hope y'all the best and feel free the say hi. Thanks for the great intro, sir. Looks like you're relatively local to me (I'm in TN). I went to Yellowstone on a family trip a long time ago; it's stunningly beautiful out there. I remember being more impressed with Grand Teton and Glacier national parks, though. A muskrat nibbled on my toes hiking through Glacier; true story. We are pretty new. Most of the regulars here are transplants from the old Crunchyroll forums, which that site deactivated last November. It was a great community, with the season-long discussion threads you see replicated here, and we're trying to keep its spirit alive. Feel free to chip in on any one of them with your thoughts about the latest episode, or the series in general so far. Or you can just chill and chat or play one of the forum games. The Winter 2023 seasonal anime awards thread will be starting in a few weeks' time also. |

| Welcome to the new members! I joined MAL a little over a year ago. CR had ended all private communications between members. I'm one of the game masters for the Face-Off tourney and we needed a way to chat in the background without disrupting the matches. The other two managers were already here so I joined. But I didn't start coming regularly until boldulysses started the club. I don't comment much in the show threads, but I do read them sometimes. Hope to see you around the club when you feel like it. |
