If you like dubs then just watch it and see if you like it? This really doesn't seem that complicated.

Sub is universally better than dub for any anime.

And the Japanese voice acting just hits hard.

The dub is pretty good. Imo I think it’s better than sub.

Also the English voice acting really hits hard.

Subs are almost always better than Dubs so it's obvious which one is better.

for the record, i fell asleep while watching it so, i cant even tell you what's it about. but even before that, i went into it expecting to not like it since your name had royally disappointed me and i also dont like the anime movie time frame in general.

For emotional dramas like A Silent Voice, you virtually always wanna stick with Japanese. This particular dub is okay, but the sub is fantastic in comparison. 

If you want your first watch of this movie to be the best experience, then sub is the way to go.

I watched A Silent Voice in 3 different languages and I liked it in all those 3 (Sub, English & Hindi dub)

that's fair enough, I prefer all anime in sub but the dub did cast an actual deaf person to play shouko so that might add to the experience for some people because when she speaks she will sound like a real deaf person. watch whichever you want to watch I don't think It really matters that much and if you like the movie just know that the manga will always be there if you want more exploration of these characters and story.

dub is amazing, especially since they casted an actual deaf person for shouko. Watched it in both and totally prefer dub
