By mistake the director of music posted an image where it is possible to see on the left the wording: 4x29, 4x30... 4x35It can hardly be a coincidence. I for one thought they were only two special episodes but I have my doubts about this point. What do you think?

My current assumption is that the equivalent of 3-4 22-minute episodes will be combined and aired together on two separate broadcast nights.

That's about what I assumed too to be honest. likely 3 episodes for the first one and 4 for the other.

Though with there being alot of battle in the final 5 chapters, it might actually be the opposite. 4 for part 1, and 3 for part 2.

i thought it will be 8 episodes total since they are consistent with 1 chapter per episode in the past so 8 remaining manga chapters is 8 episodes total but i guess they gonna speed up the pacing by 1 episode

There are 9 chapters left, but the 1 chapter per episode pacing that was present for a lot of Part 2 is slower than normal for this show, especially when there’s a lot of action.

no idea there must be scheduling problems again so expect first 4 episodes to air then last 3 episodes later?

I think there will be one special broadcast that will be the length of 3 episodes, and one that will be the equivalent of 4 episodes. Production wise, it would still technically be 7 episodes total.

"By mistake" nahh this mother fucker absolutely knows what he's doing, deliberately stirring the pot to just cause more confusion and send the fandom into a craze. Chad move tbh. But seriously I know they gotta keep hush hush but I wish they'd just say how they're gonna release this damn thing already, it can't be that big of a deal. Is it 1 big episode for a single day or is it the usual weekly format? Or are they just gonna drop like 4 episodes in a single day instead of a long one? Jesus, spit it out guys

If its episodes of the standard 20-25 minutes, then I called this in a previous forum here of AOT FInal Season part 3. (Duration of the Episodes)

Making AOT Final Season end in Part 4 instead of Part 3 is is obviously just a business decision to make more money, keep the buzz alive, sell more discs. It has NOTHING to do with being "overworked"

3-4 episodes in March, and then 3-4 episodes sometime later in 2023 (total 7 episodes). And dont be surprised if they decide to push AOT Final Season Part 4 for sometime in 2024 instead of late 2023, with the same "overworked" reason.

There is no way that they would release a movie length episode (at least an one hour and 20 minutes) on TV instead of movie-theaters

Season 4 part 3 will have 3-4 episodes

And Season 4 part 4 will have 3-4 episodes.

So there are only 7 more episodes left of AOT anime overall (assuming every episode is the standard 20-25 minutes).

I think that the so called Special transmission intend the new Friday 00:25 slot, instead of Sunday 00:05. It was only a change of the slot but not special for the duration of the episodes

Technically, the combined runtime of both specials could still end up being equal to that of 7 episodes, which is what I’ve been arguing for.

Pretty much. They most likely have been working as if 7 episodes were gonna be released normally but recently decided to release them together due to these circumstances.
