Not gonna lie didn't expect this to get a season 2 i remember checking and couldn't find much manga content either, though I cant wait i did enjoy the 1st season

I enjoyed the first season for what it was and am excited it's getting a sequel, because I feel that jab at the end was all but blatantly confirming it.

*Ahem* Actually...(pushes glasses up nose like a snob) It could have because it wouldn't be the first time a studio dropped an anime to be picked up by another. AOT, High School DxD, Golden Kamuy, Pokemon, etc. the list goes on for several hundred anime.

Well in that case, you could say that to any other anime with a good studio, but instead you pick this anime thread with an average studio. Why???

Because this is the one i was reading, duh... Just pointing out everytime a low tier anime like this gets renewed, that budget could have gone to something actually spending 4 hours worth watching

Just finished this series and I laughed my ass off more times than I ever anticipated! So excited for more Gorilla waifu also the reunion of Seiichi with his former classmates at the new academy!

I can’t believe this got a season 2, but it will almost certainly improve. I’ll watch it, because no isekai is a bad isekai in my book.

  People need to drop this false belief that not picking up anime X will automatically result in anime Y getting another season. That's not how it works. It mainly comes down to end product sales and production/licensing costs. New stuff is often pushed first to boost LN sales, kick off manga adaptation sales, and often has a lower licensing cost than more popular stuff. Yes, it sucks, but it's not going to change until the well of LN content starts to dry up a bit.

First season was quite fun, felt a little oldschool even, like something out of 2007. It's good for a show that is built on such silly premises and doesn't take itself too seriously. Will watch second season definitely. It seems, that art quality evolved somehow in the trailer (but that may be trailer only), still kinda surprising.

No it wouldn't, NGNL will never get a second season no matter what, it got into legal trouble over plagarism.

i feel the same only thing i can see as to why this gets another season is that this is most popular series that this studio has made
the score up here is 6+ their other anime only got 4 and 5's even the popularity numers are better than the other series.
