Yeah basically. Mob solos all. I don’t classify Gon’s chimera any arc as a hero to villain moment but in concept it’s similar. I’d say that’s the best one if it was classifying as one of those but nah mob solos cuz it doesn’t

Eh I’m not sure if Mob counts. I’d have to have a think about it. Characters with demon-like abilities come to mind (as they often lose control).

Cause eren kinda sucks as both a villain and protagonist. To begin with he's like Asta from Black Clover in the way that he is an emotional idiot with an over the top dream. As a villain though he is just kind of a dick with no real character traits... In general, Eren is really overrated as a character and is just kinda boring and annoying...

Isn't this kind of a spoiler? Also, the people name-dropping characters that have gone through a similar change in character....Bruh. No one needs to know that character Z becomes a villain. That's usually a big plotline in any show.

i disagree. but either way its still wierd that he hadnt even been mentioned yet, cuz the majority of people dont think the same way about him.

the rest of this post contains fairly minor spoilers. i havent figured out how to use spoiler tags, so if someone could tell me how thatd be appreciated.

personally. the things that u say makes him an annoying protagonist, many people (including myself) find to be what makes him so interesting. His determination to achieve the drram even though it seems impossible is what makes him interesting. his drive and unwillingness to stop, even if it makes him look like an idiot. as a villian, his motivations dont change tho. his goal never really changed. hes still trying to free the island to build a better world for his friends. you could watch the show and never once think of him as the villian and it would still work. and that's part of what makes him so interesting. to most people at least.
your opinion is also valid.

I don't think this is the best one. I have not read aot manga but based on the anime maybe Eren is the best one. Again i have not seen this trope much in anime so idk.

for me its the emotional impact of overcoming trauma and using the f u energy to achieve an impossible goal to protect what u love. on a fundamental level. he isnt that complex, but the intensity of his character makes up for his lack of complex elements.

Except half the things that happen in the climax are things that didn't actually need to happen, he also didn't protect anyone in the long run, everything he spent trying to prevent happend anyway after his death (which was itself unneeded as his death didn't contribute to the overall story.

It just felt like the end point of erens story was the author trying to copy code geass's ending but missing all the key components that made the ending good. Eren didn't need to die, His death didn't contribute anything, he literally failed at his overall plan, and everything he did to get to the climax, again, just was a skimmed down code geass but with less complexity and time travel.

oof hadnt seen that far. ig i cant really have an opinion til ive caught up ive a couple episodes to go.
as far as i am now (final season part 2 episode 7) my opinion still stands.
might change when ive caught up. never know
