What type of supernatural stories do you like to see be explored more in anime?

I loved Witch Hunter Robin and its a shame there is no second season as of yet like a fair amount of sunrise's works.

So what kind of supernatural stories would you like to see anime do and feel free to share recs as well 2.

Youkai are always a plus. Rumiko Takahashi does it well, but nothing can beat the works of Shigeru Mizuki.

Natsume is the most popular youkai i can think bout, and Yo kai watch is the only jrpg i know at least to my knowledge focusing on that as well.

I'd also love to see much more cosmic, lovecraftian horror.

I'd also love to see much more cosmic, lovecraftian horror.


Shadowhearts, its on the ps2 consoles but a spirtual sucessor penny blood is said to be for the next gen consoles like the switch. I also hooked Fario up with that not long ago as well as another horror not lovecraft per say series called parasite eve you may also like it as well.

Thanks for the recommendation, I genuinely appreciate it. Both seasons are already on my PtW list :)

Your recommendation sparked in me the desire to look for more anime with male Kitsune and while perusing I found this one, Gingitsune. I'll be looking for other anime with male Kitsune.

Now I just need to find the time and finish one or two anime before embarking on this new journey. Once again thanks for your recommendation, I truly appreciate your kindness. Peace :)

One of the aspects of Mahoutsukai no Yome I truly love and appreciate is the due diligence that went into their incorporation of widespread, largely Celtic, British and Irish mythology.

I hope to see a similar level of thought and artistry, almost a sense of reverence for another nation's mythological pantheon, and capitalization on its whole role and relevance to the world and story in the second season of the show, which is an all-time best anime series - even principally for other reasons, but the northern European folklore element so rare, especially on such a scale and extent, in media in general (even beyond anime), that this is something very special which contributes to enriching it all the more.

Parasite Eve was also based on a horror j-novel and like smt it evolved into its own thing and its a hell of a ride you'll really like Aya. And my pleasure.^^
