No. Entire first half of the movie was completely pointless. Second half with Rengoku is carried by the production.

It's emotional cause of the way ufotable depicts and emphasizes Rengoku, not cause his character had any meaningful story or connection with the audience.

I can think of dozens of anime movies I enjoyed more than Mugen Train, but "better" and "greatest" all boil down to personal preference in the end.

I would say that heavens feel and silent voice will remain my favorite movies. Demon slayer is a movie I watched when I wanted to turn my brain off and watch cool fighting. However it did pave the way for studios to release movies more often and ultimately bring back going to the theaters.

I honestly gave this movie a 6. art is great as always but it really just felt like filler. All you'd really have to know is that someone dies and that akaza (upper 3) might be mad the next time he sees tanjiro. Rengoku got the most focus for the movie for obvious reasons and I left the theatres thinking "ok that happened". it was definitely well animated and voiced but there are definitely better anime movies with better structured.

Hi OP, I have an advice to you.
Stop thinking about Demon Slayer and move on. Go read some other manga/LN that is not Demon Slayer.

There are a ton of anime movies with more emotional impact:
