Now I've only got spoiled about these parts, haven't read the manga myself.
So from what I've heard so far the 2 things wrong with the ending are
1. The pacing - easily fixable with a proper adaptation
2. Founder Ymir's motives
I wanna talk about the second
So if Ymir's motives were changed from the Stockholm Syndrome shit to something like say her not knowing life without being a slave anymore, and therefore was inclined to serve her master, would it make the ending better? This should give her and Mikasa's parallels way more depth.
Try to keep the answers with minimalistic spoilers about other events. Just need a yes or no basically and the reason why you believe it would elevate/worsen the ending.

See even if there are a lot of ideas that are actually good than the real ending of manga I still think that anime should follow manga nevertheless cause in the end it would be an honour to isayama who worked hard past these many years to give us several emotions just by reading a manga. Well that's just my opinion.

That’s actually a really good change and it doesn’t harm Erens character. The same ideas and themes are still there. It would actually make the whole freedom thing a lot better. If MAPPA decides to change some parts of the ending then this definitely is the correct direction.

yes that's what we want
ymir wants someone to connect to that's why she takes her time to generate titans . she wants the subjects of Ymir to experience a free life unlike her .
better than the " she wanted to see Mikasa sacrifice her love so she can move on "

Not really. The only way Mikasa and Ymir's parallels would make sense is if Ymir was in love/obsessed with Fritz, just as Mikasa is with Eren. The 'slave' angle has little to do with Mikasa, she acts like an overprotective mother more than anything.

It would do LOADS for Ymir's character if such a change were to occur, but that compromises the whole point of the manga ending. The parallel needs to be pretty clear if they want the audience to buy such an out of nowhere twist.
Changing Ymir's motives would either half ass the parallel or get rid of it entirely.

Personally, I think y'all are better off bracing for a 1:1 adaptation. They'll most probably cut things instead of adding them if they make a film. I've made my peace with the ending we got; I still feel the story fell off somewhere after the timeskip, the ending isn't all to blame. Either way, I'm curious to see how it all goes.

those arent the only issues with the ending, since you haven't been spoiled on the rest I'll refrain.

Yea but that isn’t the ending he wanted. He changed it once aot got popular to appeal to more people.
