The first time I heard it was on a YouTube video...and I thought it was annoying. But then it grew on me when I actually watched the show.

OP2 no contest. Perfectly fits the tone of the second half of Toradora. Even the mini version during the next episode previews is great.

I feel like both OPs are equal for me in terms of sound however the sock scene of OP 1 is just ahh it makes me feel like a degenerate.

However i do love the EDs far far more than the OPs. I watched Toradora a couple of weeks ago and i still hum Vanilla Salt!!

I too believe that both the openings are equally good but the op 1 just feels like it's an op for slapstick comedy anime and the second one feels like it's showing where the show is going to end . The ed are just goat vanilla salt is one of the most iconic one after the dango dikazoku from clannad

I agree 100%. Objectively speaking its a good song but not quite mind blowing. However the way its linked in the anime to happy-sad-heart breaking moments just uggghhhhh ahhhhh i love Clannad so much

The second one is better in my opinion. I especially like Taiga and Ryuuji smiling at each other at the end and then the whole main cast looking towards the viewer.

Op 2 is definitely my favourite, silky heart (which is the name of the song) is a great song i listen to it regularly on spotify lmao, and the animation that came with that opening is awesome aswell, i quite like the fast paced part of the opening :D

I just rewatched it on Amazon Prime and it still holds up as one of the better romcoms, IMHO.

I'll consider rewatching it again in my 60s.
