Chiyo , Sakura vs Sasori fight

I was rewatching shippuden recently since a long time and I watched this fight again. I had forgotten most of its details but can we actually talk about how unfair it was ? I feel like it was more like "showing Sakura after 2 years training" then an actual fight. With sasoris abilities it felt like he could crush them easy but somehow he struggled and even died at the end? With the experience sasori got and even the 3rd kazekage strongest kazekage ever which was repeated like 10 times yet he still misjudge a lot of choices... I would have been satisfied if he used a lot of Chakra and was at his limit but grandma chiyo dies and Sakura is seriously injured ... come on now he's an akatsuki >:-(

Btw I know that he didn't dodge the last attack but that was at the very last the fight should have ended waay before that.


And is sakura really asking sasori why he doesn't care for his grandma?? And she still has Chakra to punch him omg I hate her

Ye I don’t think that fight was fair for Sasori, like mans was taking out nations and he defeated the strongest kazekage and then gets defeated by some grandma with an off brand tsunade, and the thing that be annoying is that Sasori is really powerful but people use that fight a lot to back up Sakuras strength as well as put down Sasoris strength

i’m kinda stating the obvious but it’s really disappointing how sakura was so bad in original naruto then she was somehow so overpowered for this one fight, literally the one time i can tolerate her character, then she goes downhill the rest of shippuden…

yea but that proves how much she’s grown! i was happy when she beat sasori. her training with tsunade paid off. i mean his puppets weren’t a great match with sakuras punches bc she could break them and she’s a medic ninja. i don’t think they watered down him. i love her :)

That's exactly what the anime did, a boost for Sakura. In the manga Sakura defeated only one puppet and Chiyo did everything. Sasori died for the plot, he had the worst matchup possible.

it is one of my fav in shippuden. But no body really remembers it. This fight explores how power system in Naruto is unique, I was really surprised that the popet master Jutsu can be that interesting.

Shippuden has too many worst plot Armor moments that come out of nowhere. Everyone talks about talk no jutsu against pain but no one talks about sasori changing in a single instant which is the biggest bullshit in all of Naruto until that point. I feel you lol

Well that's the point she didn't win fair and square. She won by plot armor and as I see the most agree with me. An S class bandit sasori of the red sand the kidnapper of the strongest kazekage a member of the akatsuki wouldn't lose to a girl who trained for 2 years. Sasori misjudged a lot of things and made a lot of mistakes like he is a genin come on man.

The fight severely downplayed sasori, but you have to take into account sasori was not bloodlusted and not trying his hardest to kill Chiyo and in turn sakura. Also chiyo was the absolute perfect character to go against sasori since she knew literally everything about him. If it was sakura and literally anybody else sasori definitely wouldn’t have had held back or would’ve been at an incredibly greater advantage.

Yeah sakura had been a useless character in OG naruto then suddenly she was super powerful against an akatsuki, full of very powerful shinobi. In my opinion this was over-plot-armoured as Sakura could not have beaten the person who defeated the 3rd kazekage.
