| @memor i had a feeling that was the case for getting new cafe goers, it was basically me thinking maybe they'll do some recruiting at some point, or maybe it'll just be a hideout for those few that are still active here to say hi from time to time. the thing i mentioned about you was for the family tree, not joining the cafe. but without new cafe members at some point it's also a moot point XD |

| i think so too, i have seen monia-hime talk with kai-kun in the forums in the last day or so, but she's pretty busy from what i can guess so i would assume she can't spend hours on end looking for possible new members. i wouldn't have that kind of time to spend myself either so i definitely can't blame her XD |

| The reason why this café is dead is complicated. I literally need to write a very huge wall of text to explain it, but I will keep it short. To be honest. This café is mainly dead because I was so disappointed by it. Everyone wanted it to be active, but very very few people were willing to contribute, even by a little. That's not how a good & vibrant should operate in my opinion. Not to be arrogant, but I was literally the only reason it was kept alive, which you can see with how it died quickly the moment I stopped supporting it (besides other reasons). It wasn't a self-sustained community at all. When it comes to the activity, it turned a bit dull at the end, even though it was very active in theory. Members in general weren't that cooperative in addition to that. I tried to fix some of that by locking the games threads, which we had quite a lot of. The issue is, locking these threads also requires that I spend some time to create replacements for them, which I simply wasn't willing to do due to my lack of motivation (my mistake). It was given that at least some members were going to leave, but I still did it, and I totally stand behind that decision. This café stayed successful for a long time because it managed to reinvent itself over & over. I don't mind tweaking my decisions here & there, but those who oppose change are explicitly against the culture of this place. Hard to explain the whole situation without writing much more, so I will stop here. Also, the kind of drama I had to deal with wasn't acceptable. I totally understand that owners have to deal with such things, and I am not a weak person who can't endure them. Most of the situations I had to deal with were quite silly, and could have been easily avoided. On the top of that, many people placed the blame on moi in such cases, without knowing what actually happened. Running this café doesn't really require a lot of time as some of you may imagine. As lot of the stuff here run on auto-pilot. It just wasn't fun trying to deal with a lot of stuff, all alone, and mostly without any appreciation. It's not that I get paid to do this, so I easily stopped. XD I think I did the right choice leaving this place behind (for now). I still left some things open to the future, and I still have many plans for this place, but right now, I am just happy spending my time on Genshin Impact. :) Since you guys want to see it. | @sweetmonia I can understand that, and that's fair. By the way if I came across like I was complaining that wasn't the intent, more hoping for the future, of at some point reviving it maybe. While I've never ran a website or club or anything I get that it can be demanding, and that no matter what decisions you make not everyone will be happy with it, and the ones that aren't are going to make sure you know it while the ones that appreciate it see it as just doing as you should and don't actually thank you or help out often if at all. That's unfortunately human nature in modern times, and unfortunately I'm probably guilty of not thanking you enough for the hard work in the past too. It's good to see you by the way ^_^ Sorry, accidentally hit submit before I was done. I probably would have offered my help if I knew how you felt about it before, though realistically I know it probably wouldn't have changed anything. I'm not particularly good at being social or extroverted, and when I end up in a depressed mood I often will stop showing up on the site for months at a time. And with MAL having been down for so long and a bunch of people leaving for other things when it happened and just never coming back. I feel like the club was legitimately self sustaining before that, but even at the most active point afterwards it hadn't quite felt the same, and I know personally I don't know of anything that could have actually fixed it. |

So it makes sense that you'd feel disappointed >.< I definitely also owe you a thank you for all the work you've done here. We tend to take it for granted but there's a reason why this is one of the very few clubs left standing. well, you already know I'd help out if you decided to promote this club again ^^ like thuly-chan, I'm not good at social proactivity (frankly, that's what led me here initially) so I'd find it tough to make threads and whatnot, if that's the sort of thing you're talking about. but I'd do my mure best xD |

Even if you were, it's fine as long as a good conversation happened because of it (instead of the silly arguments I often had to go through most all the time). I mostly agree with your description of the situation. People used to be more appreciative in the past though, which is a plus for this place. Your help may not have changed much on its own, but along with the help of at least 3-4 other people, it would have made a difference. It would have been way better than the passive culture I kept seeing in the last 2-3 years. It would also have made me more willing to continue supporting this place & fix things slowly, which I know is totally doable (since I already have plans for it, ones that are shelved for the time being). |

| That actually (sort of) happened with One Piece, so I switched to the manga which is a lot better overall. but you're right, I don't know what I'd do if I really disliked it. I'm lucky since all the really long anime I've seen (OP, Gintama, Detective Conan & Fairy Tail) turned out to be pretty enjoyable ^^ to answer your question earlier, I didn't think there were multiple types of root beer xD unless you're talking about brands? |

| A&W is probably my favorite too, although there are a few that I like that are microbrewed sodas. A local bottle shop has some 100 or so flavors of soda from across the country and in some cases neighboring countries, and a good portion of them are different root beers. |

They also tend to be the same price or a little higher for a smaller volume so effectively they tend to be more expensive. Think a 12oz bottle for the price of a 2 liter is on the cheap side. They're nice for a special occasion type of thing. |

That said I could see how much of what happened afterwards could realistically come about. |

Actually if i'm being honest, i feel like she should've ended up with him. mostly because if i were in her shoes i would've picked the classmate, not because of any age gap, but just because of how persistent the salaryman was with harassing her. It would've left me with a really poor impression that (all else being similar as they are) he wouldn't really ever recover from, but then again i can hold a grudge and if she doesn't hold grudges for long i can see her forgiving him much easier than i would. XD |
