If you want to catchup with the current episodes as soon as possible, I think you can skip them, but if ur not in a hurry I recommend u to watch them

If you want to see the character development and increase power by time....then you should watch it otherwise there is no problem in skipping but you will get a little problem with their sudden increase power......take your time then watch it.....or otherwise just skip it and watch till latest episode after that go back to anime canon............sorry for poor english ✌️✌️

I’d say to watch them unless you’re in a rush. They give a lot of the side characters shine including gaara’s son, gives more development for the main trio, and is the only version of boruto so far that has boruto use his new eye ability. They also have some pretty good slice of life episodes too except for the chocho ones

it’s not worth it tbh. i only liked the episodes 128-136 bc they gave me a nostalgic feeling n reminded me a lot of og naruto. i recommend watching those

Please don't skip it, just take your time watching it.
In some episodes Anime Canon are expansion Story from Manga Canon, it is necessary to connecting the story to the Manga Canon.

You should only watch the chunin exam and everything after ep 180. Everything else is shit.

Yes, anime canons are realy bad, I think thats the main reason why boruto is hated that much. But some of them are worth watchin so if you have the time to watch it you should watch it

I wouldn’t skip it , there’s lots of thing characters develop and learn, and unless you wanna be that random person that says “oh this is asspull “ than don’t watch. Just watching manga canon won’t help you’ll only get like 40% of the actual story

As someone who has watched all 206 episodes so far, yes. A majority just add needless exposition that doesn’t really add anything necessary to the plot. There are one or two decent filler arcs like the time travel arc, but other than that don’t waste your time

The cannon plot is just so much more interesting. Then again, chapter 1 in the manga doesnt even start until around episode 50 so they are going at a slow pace. The manga is super ahead and things have gotten more serious. So if you want more of the story tbh read the manga but as for the anime just skip anime cannon aka filler.

It depends on which episodes you're calling anime canon as some anime original episodes are fillers while others are canon and not all of the anime canon arcs have the same importance and quality.
Anyway, here is a list of the fillers / episodes you can skip : ep 16,17,33,34,40,41,48-50,67-69,75,94,96,97,104,105,107,108,113,114-119,138,140,155,156, the first 18 minutes of ep 172

There are some other episodes that are slightly more important but they don't have any significant effect on the story and you can skip them if you want:
Ep 7,106,109-111,115,139,152,153,154

Boruto non anime cannon is the only good episodes in boruto is good so i dont reccomend it

No that gives you plot points but than you won't care for the characters or see character development that is where anime cannon comes in

I guess you have a point but absolutely none of it is going to pop up in cannon episodes that actually happen and even if it were to, the characters are not portrayed in the same way in the anime vs how they are portrayed in the manga so its not even a good representation of the characters.
