| I haven't seen Tenet yet but Nolan usually doesn't disappoint so maybe it is better. Quite a random pair of films to compare though. |

| Tenet was a very average movie. Demon Slayer was an above average one. Nolan usually doesn't miss, but Tenet was probably his weakest effort. |

| I watched Tenet when it first came out in the theatres. I didn’t think I’d be disappointed because I really like Christopher Nolan’s films, but this was just bad. It was a mess and trying too hard to be innovative when it just had the same tropes every movie of his has, but worse. When I first watched Demon Slayer, I didn’t think so highly of it. It was decent but I did get bored during some parts. The rotating room arc (is that the official name?) is deffo one of my favourites of all time, that was amazing, but generally Demon Slayer was just okay and I understood what everyone meant by it’s a mid story with amazing animation. However, I like Muzan as an antagonist and was intrigued as to where the story goes. I decided to watch Mugen Train for two reason: 1) I have to in order to understand the events of season 2 and 2) I love stories which take place in one particular location (films like Phone Booth, Collateral, Inside Man - these films also hold civilians hostage just like Mugen Train). I really enjoyed the film. Mugen Train IS undoubtedly better than Tenet. It does what it tries to do in a much better way, it’s plot, even as a stand alone makes enough sense and more sense than the entirety of Tenet. Mugen Train deserves it’s sales and it is officially the highest grossing movie from 2020. |
