Hello,

I want to get into Jojo but it looks super long and intimidating. My question is can I just pick a part and start from there? Part 3 and Part 5 look the most interesting. I know the series revolves around the Jojo bloodline, so by that information shouldn't I be able to just pick my favorite and watch their story? Let me know if I am right or wrong.

I am not looking to become some Jojo's superchad, just want to watch the stories that look interesting to me. If there is some story information I should know before watching put it in with the spoiler tags pls.

I am planning to do the same thing since I couldn't get into part 1.
From what I have read about it on the internet it shouldn't be a problem.
But I would also like to see someone else's answer who acutally watched it.

No prob, but:
- if you want to read/watch part 3 better at least check the summary of parts 1 & 2, cause there are some important reoccurring characters and it would be better to know their backstory first (isn't necessary tho, just would be cool)
- for part 4 watching or at least reading summary of part 3 is rather advised, one important reoccurring character
- part 5 also has a few reoccurring characters from part 3 and 4, but they aren't important in the plot overall, so no prob about this one at all

But imo you surely shouldn't watch Part 6 when it comes out without watching at least Part 3 and maybe 4 beforehand. For the rest you don't need any special knowledge to start them.

I know you care about the parts 3 & 5 the most, but just saying in advance~

Awesome, thanks for the advise :)
So I guess I'll start reading up on the summaries for parts 1 & 2. And then start watching Part 3. Much appreciated!!!

Personally I enjoyed and would highly recommend every JoJo part (except maybe part 1 which is good, but I wouldn't "highly recommend" it like I would the other ones). That said, I don't think there's anything wrong with skipping some of them.

As others have already said, looking up a summary for parts you intend to skip before watching parts that come after them would probably help, but other than that I don't really have anything to add.

You could go back and watch skipped parts later, if you really enjoy the ones you do watch, but that's just my suggestion. It's not like you have to or anything.

However you choose to watch JoJo, I hope you enjoy it!
