If I'm not mistaken Nostrade's daughter could've read their fortunes and have them be better prepared and it perhaps would've been easier to protect her.

I guess it can be called a plothole as people say. But you can also argue that since his dad was using the fortune telling power of her daughter for his own gain.

That he didn't wanna read the bodygaurds fortune for free since they already get payed and he was definitely using it to gain wealth.

Also honestly instead of going through the fortune of every bodygaurd it make more sense to just make her write her own fortune since she is the priority that would save time and be more efficient in having her avoid a bad fate, but that probably wouldn't happen since she doesn't wanna read her own fortune.

Then again her dad could just read it to keep her safe.

Even if this is true, the Phantom Troupe arc is still my 2nd favorite action arc to date honestly. The highs you get from Kurapika are unlike any other!

yeah in terms of overall writing Gon is my favorite character but I definitely rooted for Kurapika the hardest because of this arc
