It’s not THAT sad, but it was a good ending. The manga has small things that didn’t appear in the anime so I recommend you read it if you liked the anime.

i don’t think the ending of horimiya was sad but it was a solid ending indeed.

it's not that it's a sad ending. Every time I think about that we're not gonna get a new Horimiya episode ever again just makes me want to cry. Seriously how can they end an amazing romcom in just 13 episodes

No second season, they skipped over so many chapters that they reached the end of the manga. The ending we got in the anime is pretty much the ending in the manga, that's it, no possible continuation, and that's what really makes it sad.

I was completely unaware that Horimiya ended after s1 and was fully expecting a s2 though I don't know what that would have entailed. Nevertheless, good show.

It was a good ending, I feel like if they had a time skip or anything of Hori and Miyamura get married i feel like it wouldn’t be as good it feels like it would be up to the reader/watcher to decide what happens after i just wish they adapted more of the manga into the anime

it was a really good ending but since it skipped so much of the manga and the character stories felt really unfinished too imo i didnt really feel much on it. gonna read the manga again so maybe i'll like the ending more

The ending was pretty good, I enjoyed it. I'm sure it's portrayed better in the manga, since it had more time to flesh out the characters and all, but it was good nonetheless.
