In 2019, Hajime Isayama was interviewed during the final exhibition of Attack on Titan manga.

he truly did hurt me, but not in a ''red wedding'' kind of way, but more like in a ''bvs:dawn of justice'' kind of way. the truth is isayama really only hurt about 10%-20% of this fandom, mostly because all people care about is levi and mikasa action, and shipping. most people simply don't care about the plot. if isayama truly wanted to hurt the readers he would kill off mikasa and levi.

I appreciate you citing random numbers to make others think you hold some sort of majority opinion.

read again. i never said i was a part of a majority who dislikes this, simply because most people enjoy low tier marvel writing.

I already knew about this

I really hope that by hurting his readers he meant hurting the cringevengers fanbase.

maybe he thought most people would be hurt if he turned the best character in the series into a generic dumb villain who doesn't say anything. jokes on him though, most people don't care about good writing or the plot, since most people only care about action and shipping.

Almost every fan theory I have read would be better than whatever he is pulling right now, assuming Eren actually died like that.

That's proves you are generic without context

That's not really what he meant. I think he meant eren's pov is still not shown, and hasn't said a word for the last 5 chapters until seemingly killed by Mik, portrayed like a "dumb antagonist/villain" as a hyperbolic comparison, doesn't necessarily mean he really believes eren should be one. Sounds more like disappointment to me.

ForumReminder: Hajime Isayama Wants To Hurt Attack On Titan Readers!

He also said he didn't think of the ending as happy or sad. But maybe he didn't want to spoil. Or maybe it really is bittersweet.
