| hey ok, so what I'm after is a relationship between two main characters (male-female seems to be the only way this will work) that is similar to that of..say...Horo and Lawrence, CC and Lelouch, Senjougahara and Arrararararaagi. Like, there's an understanding between the two of them for whatever reason, they both insult each other but not seriously. I don't know how else to describe it. Doesn't have to be romantic, though I guess that's pretty much unavoidable. Can be any genre, manga or anime, though I'm thinking anime would work better though what would i know ohoho Somehow I think I'm not going to find what I'm after, but WE SHALL SEE. | Special A - manga, the anime sucks Hikaru no Go - manga also. It's a rival sort of relationship though and it's two guys (non-shounen ai/yaoi). Their rivalry and relationship is probably the best I have seen amongst anime/manga. |

| The similar relationship isn't really rare...what's rare is the real chemistry between the characters in such kind of relationship. So I don't really agree with most of the recs above, except maybe Kaze no Stigma. I'd recommend to watch Allison & Lillia - the most fitting show imo, with both sets of characters having similar kind of relationship and great chemistry. Seirei no Moribito also fits to some extent, but Balsa/Tanda relationship is much more subtle and they doesn't interact with each other that much. |

| oh yeah thanks, i've actually been holding out on that one, waiting until it's finished airing so I can marathon it (i watched the first two eps then decided I'd rather marathon it than wait a week for each ep, since it was really good). |

| The Big O has two examples. It's also a good show, if you're willing to deal with the fact that there's no real ending (not due to poor writing, but due to getting canceled after finishing it's second season) and the first half is episodic. |
