Oreimo 1 episode 12 original ending

Hey, so, I'm having a bit of a Mandela Effect moment and I just want to check this out with you people.

I first saw Oreimo in 2013 when they still allowed the full episodes on youtube. At the time I had only watch the 12 episodes and it would take around 7 years to watch season 2. After watching season 2, I wanted to rewatch season 1 since I had forgot a lot of it and I did not even watched the episodes 13 to 15.

The weird thing is, the episode 12 I watched in 2020 was different than the one I watched in 2013. The one I watched last year had Kirino traveling to the USA and showing Kyousuke some of her personal stuff. In the end, they parted in good terms.

The one I watched in 2013, I believe she chose not to go to America after she had a quarrel with Kyousuke who seemed to be pissed at her for leaving. I specifically remember one scene where Kirino wants to know why Kyousuke was mad at her and the controller one of them was holding in the hand fell, accidently a button is pressed and a character in an eroge they were playing pretty much expresses what Kyousuke was too afraid to tell.

Does anybody else remembers this episode?

All I can remember is I wasn't satisfied with the ending so I ended up reading a random Doujinshi of that anime.. and yeah, it was satisfying..

Hmm yes, you are right. There exist two different versions of EP 12. In one ending it ends well and finishes right there, meanwhile In the other it ends up with kirino leaving the mc without telling him and this part contiues with the OVAs.

Here in the Mal page of oreimo you can see that the title of EP 12 is
"There's No Way My Little Sister's Life Advice Can End Like This (Good End)"

Basically, good end, finishes the story right at that point meanwhile true end continues with the OVAs and leads up to the season 2

Sounds like it was episode 15 (Season 2 Episode 3) that you watched.

The normal ending for s1 I remember is that the bro tried to contact and support Kirinoto come back to Japan since they care about each other a lot. The bro somehow inspired Kirino to beat a pro athlete around her age.
