| I would suggest watching it. When I started it in 2013 (pretty late), it took me 4 months to catch up. I watched the first episode around the end of May 2013, and caught up with Punk Hazard around September I think. Then I began watching weekly before, during Dressrosa, I simultaneously began reading the manga. Now I am an only manga reader, but my suggestion is this. The anime has some very awesome scenes, if you are ready to binge watch then get ready. Thanks to the wiki, you can use it as a guide to skip filler arcs. At any point you can jump to the manga and vice-versa. Long as my take may be, give it a shot! You can get the One Piece virgin experience only once after all (lol). Use it wisely ;) |

| Definitely the manga.. the anime for more arcs than I can remember have been very painfully slow to watch. |
