Thanks for bringing another argument , since i never watched black cover i couldnt answer againts that ... i would believe your word since i was looking at the reviews on season one (the one score around 7,32) and many people scored it low cuz of the characters, being the main issue the prota, i dont like to generalized but if MC is annoying female cast is mostly fanservice and harem trouphes that love the mc just becuase (idk, i havent watched it) Thats exactly the type of shonen protagonist that i dont like hahahHhah, the fanservice ones , the personalities and goals on the female cast of fmab is what make them special, not the need for being the strongest, is their place on the story where they are needed, important in the story not only a decor or a love interest. They have roles :3 |

| I edit the question I have to, since i realised people dont read the rest of the thread before comenting again. This post was originally made to talk about, how well written the characters were in comparison to other battle shonen out there . People keep bringing other genres here, and thats not the point, who compares a puddin with a lassagna ??? There is thousands of shounens out there, not all of them are battle shounens, most are even cooking shounens, drawing shonens, slice of life shounens... please, this forum post is about only battle shounen genre. This post was never "who are your favorite females ever!" , again was my fault for not putinf the battle there ...sorry. I really want to make another poll since now voting is weird, people vote different genres, but im lazy |

| I would say FMA has the best well-rounded cast as far as gender goes, there's really no distinction. However most of the memorable characters of the story are the males (obviously though, it was written for boys), so that's probably why a lot of people are having a hard time giving you an answer, specially since a lot of us watched this anime a long time ago. |
| I do not consider them that good though I like the kung fu loli. Winry is very meh and does not do much besides be a love interest for Ed. Lust was pretty good in the 2003 adaptation. She was trash in Brotherhood. |

Her male characters are more better than female character overall.(check her other works, u will know what I am saying) Havent check her other works, i will, but yeah i agree her males protas are amazing, thats why i have roy mustang in my all time favorites hahahaha Anyway i was trying to focus on females cuz later i been watching new shonens (expect for jujutsu kaisen those females are coooooool ) and i find that anime now make waifus, not longer female cast BUT waifus , i hope you get my point xD Thats for your point of view ;) |
